So I wouldn’t say that we “lucked out again” when we played the same Pirates that everyone else has.

The game finished with 11 (6-11) attempts to 37 (28-37) attempts from the line. Davidson called for 21 fouls to 11 for Purdue.

Davidson actually outshot Purdue from the floor 24-61 to 19-58 including from 3 ( 7-25 to 3-25 ).

Solid effort by Davidson hanging with #1 Purdue away from home. They just couldn’t catch the whale.
Please stop with this nonsense. Purdue hammers the ball inside to Edey or tries to on every possession. Davidson actually triple-teamed him on a few possessions with little Foster Loyer draped on his arm. Edey is 7'4"...the only way to stop the guy is foul him or pray that his misses from 4 feet away.
I think you are jumping to conclusions, PMMM, and only picking out one part of what I said above.

If you reread my post above, I said, now that is some home cooking in Indiana OR a lot of Davidson clutching and grabbing. Since I didn’t watch the game and only read the game stats, I could not say it was one reason or the other.

No nonsense here. You just misinterpreted or didn’t fully read my post.

I take it you watched the game and I appreciate your insight that it was Davidson clutching and grabbing that caused the fouls discrepancy.
I watched the entire game and if Davidson did so much as breathe on Edey they called a foul.

It really felt like the refs were not calling it very consistently. You'd see a Davidson player knocked to the floor, they go down the court and wave at Edey and they call a foul.

Purdue is very pedestrian without Edey. They also couldn't hit anything from three.

Aside from Iona, they beat a pretty good St. Mary's and San Francisco team.
Let's see how well they do in the tough MWC.

The Bonnies lose at Siena 70-76.
This one doesn't surprise me; I expect the Bonnies to finish in the bottom tier A10.
Siena has already beaten SH this season.

I wouldn't be surprised if Carmen Maciariello moves on to a larger program sometime soon.
He is only 44 in his 4th season there and has finished 1st in the conference twice.
His MAAC record is 40-17.

Hopkins is the best player in the Cooley era. I have no idea what Calipari didn’t like but if he preferred to Toppin over him at the 4 spot he really whiffed.

UConn went down big to a dreadful Georgetown team who literally couldn’t miss a shot. Trailed by 3 possessions at the under 12.

Hurley did Hurley things, they won by double digits.

Defense is definitely the weak spot in ihis game. PC takes everything to the basket where as Marquette a much more finesse team and three point shooting team.

Agreed he is very good and will likely be gone after this year into the NBA draft. At least one can hope.

I am jealous of the whistle Providence gets, especially at home but they get a good one on the road as well. I honestly think it is the most lopsided home court in all of the country when it comes to refereeing. They get an unbelievable whistle all the time. Refs must love Cooley. Meanwhile we can't get a decent whistle playing Georgia State.

I do think that's overlooked with PC, yeah. They attack the basket constantly, and their current roster has several guards / wings that seem like the quintessential hard-nosed players you hate to play against, but love to have on your team.

Definite 1 bid league. This league has continued to go in a negative direction and there really are no games of interest the rest of this year in the A-10. The next game of significant for 2 teams will be the A-10 finals which has no chance of it being URI despite how down the league is

Iowa NET 23 loses at home to Eastern Illinois NET 350

Iowa was favored by 31.5 points and lost to EIU by 9 at home

Eastern Illinois pulled off the biggest upset in men's college basketball in decades on Wednesday as it stunned Iowa in Iowa City, 92-83. The win for the Panthers, who were 31.5-point underdogs at Caesars Sportsbook, marked the largest upset by the spread in at least three decades, according to ESPN. Previous 30+ plus point underdogs in college basketball before Eastern Illinois' win in that span were 0-558.

Saint Louis was favored by 16 points to SIUE.

A10 just barely squeaked in with 2 teams last year and seeds of 10 and 12 are nothing to brag about.
Davidson was a 10-seed, Richmond was a 12-seed in the Bracket

Also last night Davidson and LaSalle underperformed badly

Davidson favored by 9.5 lost at home to Northeastern by 3

LaSalle favored by 8 lost at home to Lafayette by 25!!!!!
