It’s clear this is going to be a long year,but this was clearly a winnable game. I only caught the last 5 minutes but I was expecting much more from this team. Not sure why Leggett was guarding their lightning quick guard who just abused Ish on every possession down the stretch. TSU clearly only had 1 player doing their damage and we can’t find a way to contain him? What a shit day for URI sports.

I don’t think the cratered out program that Archie inherited is all that different from what Hurley inherited.

The kid Herrell couldn’t miss. Made some really tough shots down the stretch. I think a lot of it is down to good shot making but a better defensive team probably wouldn’t have let that kid get off like that. He’s not an NBA player or anything. We have to get better defensively, and I think we will. Our shot making down the stretch was encouraging but we couldn’t get a stop.

Tough to win without scoring and we have very few (if any) reliable offensive players. This team will keep improving but if Brayon and Weston aren’t valuable pieces Archie will have a lot of work to do in the portal. Those guys need to find their confidence and fast. I like Tchikou and what he brings he is gonna be a player when the game slows down for him.

I’m surprised by the skill of Samb and Alex but both could use some tips about how to score and rebound in the low post from Kenny Green.

FWIW, the one bright spot for me through two games is that Leggett looks much more like the promising freshman he was, than the ineffective player from last year. If the Freeman from GW ever shows up, we could have a decent 1-2 in the backcourt.
