In the coaches poll Rhode Island stayed at 22, New Hampshire went from 21 to 25 with their loss at Richmond. In the Stats poll we've gone from 23 to 22 and New Hampshire has gone from 17 to 21.

Let's look at it this way.

This URI team's only drubbing was at the hands of Delaware. The following week, minus one special teams failure early, they played Pittsburg even the entire length of the game. Anyone who actually watched that game had to come away impressed.

And they lost to ranked W&M in Williamsburg, by one point, trying to go for the two point conversion and the win instead of the tie and OT.

So, this is a team that is as strong as they want to be. As mistake free as they want to be. As efficient as they want to be.

It's like that FIFA World Cup commercial with Santa Claus:

No game notes on the URI website, so going off of what UNH has for the two deep original starting left guard Adam McKanna, who has been out since suffering a leg injury at Bryant, is now backup to Michael Scibelli instead of Tre Alexander. Dylan Brown and Westley Neal have flip flopped on the defensive line with Dylan Brown listed as the starter today. At kick returner, instead of Jaylen Smith out there with Randy Jordan it is John Erby and Gabe Sloat

All those early season games of having to play double minutes on the field really toughed them up for the second half of the season, they get better every week.

Got to keep this intensity for the entire game.

No way that was intentional grounding. There was a receiver right in the path of the ball, and it actually made it 2/3rd of the way to him before hitting the ground, with Hill falling and off balance on one foot in the grasp.

Defense has done a good job against the run and staying disciplined against the reverse, sweeps and double passes etc…They’ve had some open receivers but either due to the wind or whatever, they weren’t able to link up. They’ve had some more success with some shorter and intermediate routes this quarter.

I still think they have been on the field a little too much this first half, but they just held UNH to a FG, could have easily been more.

The Offense really has to produce this next drive, no excuses. That last UNH drive seemed to go on for a half hour.

Was just about to talk about their stout defensive line, then boom Deshields breaks one!

I agree about the slants. Love it with Erby, Lee, Woods etc. a ton of speed and then guys like Warren, Sumers and Savedge have size to make the catch as well.

Speaking of Savedge, what a great, alert play on their “onside kick”. Could have been a turning point, if they recover and march down. They go into the locker room up 10-7 and get the ball back. Instead they are on their heels a bit. Great play

Weren't able to get enough pressure on the QB, and he picked us apart with underneath stuff. I liked the double timeouts there to give the pass rush a chance to catch their breath. Unfortunately we were 1 play away from keeping them out of the end zone.
Pretty big possession for UNH to start the second half.
