Now THAT... is a point guard. Wow. Haven't seen anyone around here quite like that since Tyson Wheeler.

The thing that excites me the most about his offensive game is his passing ability. That's why Archie wants him to be a lead guard. He also LOVES to play tough, tenacious defense.

I love kids from elite HS programs -- Hutchinson (LuHi) and Davis (Paul VI) certainly qualify. These kids have played in high level games, faced stiff competition and have learned to be effective without being the best player on the team (defense, intangibles, playing a role).

A four-star recruit coming out of high school in 2019, Harris spent the last three seasons at North Carolina, competing against the best in the nation on a daily basis. Injuries limited him to 35 games over his three seasons, but he comes to Kingston with three more years of eligibility. A physical, aggressive defender who can score in a variety of ways, Harris is viewed as a primary ball handler in Rhode Island. Archie Miller is very familiar with Harris, having recruited him out of high school. In his time with UNC, Harris shot .478 from the field while playing as a wing.

Ya, I think he's 100% committed to coming here, but grades may have prevented that so far. We'll see. My guess is Bill Koch will give us an update tomorrow.

Yes, agree with you about not having Harris available for summer practices and team bonding.

Not sure I would immediately pencil him in as the starting PG, he can also play CG.
I have a feeling Bray will get plenty of minutes at PG.

He'll still be with the team for almost 2 1/2 months before the season starts. He's already strong as hell, so I don't worry about the strength and conditioning aspect. And he might be the most talented player on the team. I think he'll blend in pretty quickly and be ready to go by November.

I'd be more worried if this kid were an incoming freshman with no D1 experience. I think Foumena will have to deal with some growing pains and won't hit his stride until conference play. Ant's coming from one of the best programs in the entire country where he had a decent role when healthy. Based on everything I've read, including Scott Brand's interview, Ant is not the pure point guard I thought he was. This leads me to believe that Bray has been given the keys to run this offense for the foreseeable future. Ant will have plenty of ball-handling duties, but I expect him to be a pest on D and play off the ball. Would I prefer that he be at a camp from day one? Of course... However, this team won't get genuinely gel until we start to play actual games. I think Ant will be one of the better players right away.

Actually, Foumena missing the summer sessions is a bigger concern and our frontcourt is our most inexperienced group.
