Re: The Transfer Carousel - 2022
Why wouldn't he be in the mix for both? We have very little talent to none in the backcourt right now. We would easily take both of these guys.

We have even less talent in the front court.

Re: The Transfer Carousel - 2022
We have 5 starting positions open right now - getting two or even three guards is not an issue.

Re: The Transfer Carousel - 2022
Most of the recruits play different positions. Rahsool is a 1 maybe 2....brayon is primarily a 1....femi is a 2 or 3....sean durugordon can play 2 through 4 (small at the 4 lineup). I dont think there is as much overlap as initially thought.

You guys have any thoughts on Clifton Moore from LaSalle? Visiting PC today and I am unfamiliar with him.

Re: The Transfer Carousel - 2022
Then these 4 plus Tre could be our starting 5. Is it possible our starting lineup are all guys who are transfers?

Re: The Transfer Carousel - 2022
Lol who knows maybe. But I will believe Tre mitchell is coming when I see it official until then I dont really believe it.

Unless Samb is ready, our starting big will be a transfer, whether that be Tre or someone else.

Samb hasn't played in almost 2 years.Billyboy78 wrote: ↑2 years agoUnless Samb is ready, our starting big will be a transfer, whether that be Tre or someone else.
I like his potential and can be a rotation player, but not a starter yet.

Re: The Transfer Carousel - 2022
It's strange that we haven't seen any info about any bigs coming to visit. Of course, that doesn't mean there aren't plans for some.Jersey77 wrote: ↑2 years agoSamb hasn't played in almost 2 years.Billyboy78 wrote: ↑2 years agoUnless Samb is ready, our starting big will be a transfer, whether that be Tre or someone else.

Solid big man. I would say he is similar to croswell. But maybe a little more of a mid range game then croswell. Think he would be a solid bench guy for you. When I saw him in person I didnt think he was the listed 6 foot 10. But solid piece to add as a role player in situations.

Re: The Transfer Carousel - 2022
HMMM I wonder what's exciting people. Maybe it has to something do with us having visits from players that would actually make a serious impact at our level. Maybe not... Why would we be excited seeing Bray Freeman in Rhody Blue yesterday? Or that Femi is visiting this weekend? Or Durogordon? Or Diggins?
We definitely were consistently in the mix for players of this caliber with Cox lately. Chance and Brafford were offered by a bunch high majors. Remember everyone??

Re: The Transfer Carousel - 2022
Does Freeman has his own thread? His stats are excellent, especially his last games outside of the final one. Hopefully, the first of two Passover / Easter gifts Rhody fans get in terms of recruits.

Nice start! Like that he has both experience and 3 years of eligibility left.

Look at his original offers from P5 schools. Look at this round’s P5 offers - and Pitino.
Oh and when was our last A10 all-rookie player? EC Matthews? He was kinda good…
This is a phenomenal get for us. This team is already looking better than last year with a more open offense without the Mitchell’s which will allow Ish to get downhill - and now a true PG who can hit open shots.
We’re involved with and now signing players involved with P5 programs. Not mid majors like we had the past 4 years.

If you say you’re a Rhody fan, I know you are my brother. For you have suffered as I have suffered.

Thomas committed to Hofstra this weekendJersey77 wrote: ↑2 years ago Just thought I would post Tyler Thomas because he had such a great game against us 30 pts (7-14 3pt)
He is a guard (6'3") from CT. averaged 16.4 pts/ 3.4 assists all NEC.
Not that I think he will be a target for Archie, but may end up in the A10.
636 players now in the portal, 100 added since yesterday.

Re: The Transfer Carousel - 2022
Maybe I'm missing something but why is Devin Carter being regarded as some superstar? He's obviously a very athletic guard that can be a problem in the fast break. He gets the line and can attack the D. But his shot is UGLY.. Some of their fans are acting like they just got the best guard in the Big East. I don't see it.
I like Moore a lot. He's not the offensive player Watson is but he's a very good defender. I want PC to be good. I want Umass to be good. I want to have a sold-out dump and Ryan Center with meaningful games.

Probably the same reasons we’re saying about Freeman.
Was productive as a freshman, three years left, and hasn’t taken that big jump yet.
Also was a Top 100 kid, has potential after what he did this season at South Carolina.

Re: The Transfer Carousel - 2022
I don’t see anyone thinking Carter is the best guard in the conference. He’s a solid piece and a long term replacement for Minaya. Coming in as a soph, there’s plenty of time to fix the broken jumper.
Bryce Hopkins is the next domino. Expected to announce in the next week.
Most all acknowledge next year won’t be what this past year was. But it’s a critical year to keep the momentum going. Can’t take a step back at this stage.

Ya what you’re saying isn’t what I’m talking about. I get why Rhody and PC are excited about Carter and Brey. Both have plenty of potential.Rhody15 wrote: ↑2 years agosteveystuds06 wrote: ↑2 years ago Maybe I'm missing something but why is Devin Carter being regarded as some superstar? I had a few PC friends of mine say he’s going to be better that Durham in year 1 and I think they need to pump the breaks a little.

It’s the time of year when the A10 isn’t a trash conference to PC fans. It will revert back to trash in their eyes come October.

Re: The Transfer Carousel - 2022
You are a realistic PC fan. I think that puts you in the minority. If PC takes a step back (say not in the top 5 of the BE), it will make last year seem like a one off. It seems PC fans on Twitter think the Sweet 16 is a given next year.PCFriars wrote: ↑2 years ago I don’t see anyone thinking Carter is the best guard in the conference.
