My father was also in attendance and just sent me his report. Really impressed with the Prez. Said literally the same thing about “he gets it.” Said really good energy at the event - people are buzzing.

My daughter is in high school and gets letters from colleges all the time. Most she has never heard of and throws them away. She got a letter from Seton Hall and said they were in the Tournament. She read the whole letter. It matters. It's a huge thing for kids when they decide colleges.

Right. I was in RI yesterday and they still have that “Us. We. Together. Family.” friartown billboard up as you come into Providence from the south. I don’t know that we need to completely rip that off but something in that genre where it is specific to us. We don’t have much of a brand right now, but now is a good time to get to work in establishing one.

I saw the billboard today when I was driving South on 95. Good Lord is it a graphic and typographic nightmare. The images of Archie and Tammi should be front and center. And the typography is virtually unreadable and a hideous clash of fonts. I think our marketing department needs to be the next major shake up.

I think what DPS is getting at - it's one thing if the wife of a coach does a one-off t-shirt, or if a small group of students decides to make a batch of t-shirts. However, if it's going to be university-approved gear available in a fan store, then you're going to need a sign-off from Miller beer. I have no idea how difficult that would be to procure - some companies would view it as free advertising, some might want a cut of every shirt sold, some might want a large fee upfront, and so on.

Officially no, copyright infringement. If someone makes up a small batch of shirts independently they can probably get away with it because it could fly underneath the Miller Coors lawyers radar, but at that point why are you chancing it?

How about going through the local Miller distributor to work something out with the company . I believe that the distributor might have strong ties and a history with URI ? It would be a WIN , WIN for Miller , FREE local advertising with NO expense or downside !
