Got to beat those Northern teams.
Haven't beaten Maine since 1985? Kept us out of playoffs last year.

Last win against Maine was 2006, but it feels like 85. Losing to them kept us out in 2001, 2018, and last year

I'd say it's a certainty for Delaware. It could go either way for Brown, but I'm hoping afternoon. College football belongs in the day

I came across two preseason rankings in the last week. One had Pitt 9th and the other one had them 13th. I had no idea they were that highly regarded. Should be an interesting challenge in September.

Sounds high for Pitt. They lost a fair amount of talent.
Not saying Rhody can win,but could be competitive.

I agree. That seemed high to me, too. Even though they lost Pickett, they are high on their transfer QB from USC. Part of the reason for the high ranking is the projected soft conference schedule. They don’t play Wake Forest, Clemson or NC State, the top three finishers in the Atlantic division last year.

2nd year in a row with only 1 night game and it’s against a team we should beat by 30+ Delaware should be at night..a nice redo of the 2019 game.

Man-this is strange.
Is because of TV or accommodating the other team's costs?
Delaware and Elon are prime for night games. Especially Elon.

Elon isn't prime for a night game. Mid October is already getting cold for a night game and it's homecoming

We didn't. Student Life funded them so intramural and club teams could use the field once it went to field turf

The lights are pretty much a NCAA qualifying minimum requirement.
I am told the reason for the game times are TV $$. CAA has a pretty good contract?

When I seen the game times that is the first thing I thought of was TV deal making game times.
Also does the CAA consider URI a real playoff contender? That could also be a hidden factor.
With JMU leaving, CAA needs to find the next team and maybe they are spreading it out to all teams and seeing how it plays out.

It's true that they're on more during basketball season. When we have a basketball recruit visiting, the stadium lights go on.

Pitt has a difficult non-conference scheduled with West VA and Tennessee.

One thing I noticed is it looks like the tailgating lots open 4 hours prior to games this season. If I remember right, last year it was 3 hours before the game except for Alumni and Family Weekend which was 4

I'm assuming Meade Stadium's capacity is going to be like last year where they tarped off the top of the East stands, and capacity is about half of what it was during the glory years of the mid-80's, but this is still impressive; for the first time ever football season tickets are sold out

The real question is how many seats do they hold for season tickets?

I think capacity is around 7,000. So how many of those are saved and then sold out for season tickets?

Do they even sell standing room only tickets?

True capacity was 5778 last year. Homecoming last year was a sell out and that was the box score attendance. 2019 Homecoming had a crowd of 8911. I didn't think the banners blocked off at least 3133 seats, but the numbers are what they are
