How about St. Peter’s? What do you think of their chances tonight versus Purdue?

I might prefer for PC to win if they were playing Duke. Otherwise, I'd be rooting against them.

Purdue is #1 in KenPom's offensive rankings right now, and St. Peter's is all about defense. It'll be an interesting clash of styles. At this point of the tournament, every team is good enough to win if healthy. I'd have Purdue as a heavy favorite, but I still think there's like a 25 percent chance St. Peter's wins anyway.

Go Friars. Also on the "win every game except the one against Rhody" bandwagon. It's really the only rational take on it. But, I get that sports can tend to be intentionally irrational... that's fine, too.

That's a silly comparison and you know it.
And your second statement is just false. (When Rhody is in the hunt, there's an entire thread dedicated to that concept.)

It's all a coaching thing to fire up the players using the disrespect angle. Belichick is a mastermind with that stuff. And did you hear that maniac Musselman after their game last night? He said he posted in their locker room all of the media people who said Arkansas had no shot.

Because it matters for our chances to get into the tournament. Once selection sunday has passed there is zero rational reason to root for PC. It no longer affects our season and has zero bearing on the next season.

May have something to do with playing a team with five level one violations too. LSU AND ARIZONA are out hopeful the third bunch of cheaters goes down tonight also.
.Just for the record I was rooting for Uri when they took down cry baby Roy and his 1 seeded frauds.

How is it silly exactly? The notion that rivals dont root for each other?

PC winning IN THE NCAA TOURNAMENT has 0 benefit for URI. That thread tracks opponents for the sake of keeping tabs on our at large chances.

Ok, how about some not "silly" examples since you want to be obtuse.

Any Carolina fans rooting for Duke or vice versa?
Any OSU fans root for Michigan in the tournament?
Any Auburn fans root for Alabama?

I just look at it as we’re not equal. They’re a better program, only a fool would say otherwise.

Sox/Yanks is completely different.

Like I said, I’m happy for my family and the friends I have who actually went to Pc and care as much as I do year I’m year out.

Obviously my experience is unique.

I have no problem with people who hate PC too. They’re our rival. I’ll get on the hate train when we’re both competing at a high level.

When you’re at different levels it’s just kinda pathetic I think to try and take shots. To each their own.
