2019-2020 - had 82 responses
2020-2021 - had 81 responses

Four years in we should not be playing in the PIG game. Ridiculously easy out of conference schedule hides how truly bad things were this season. As soft as the A10 is this year, we somehow weren't prepared for conference play. No real development of players from last year to this year or beginning of season to end of season.

To be fair, I thought we were going to be this team - I just figured we would be unlucky and win a pointless 20 games and keep Cox.

I did not give him an F because we didn’t have any major off-court scandals, nobody got arrested, thrown out of school, we didn’t end up on probation. Our record and performance were disappointing but at more or less .500 there is, mathematically, more room to fall.

So it’s a ‘D’ for me. A ‘D’ in year 4 is clearly fireable, to be clear.

This was pretty much my rationale as well. I'd change my grade to an F, if it turns out there are APR ramifications coming, but I don't think we have any indication of that. He hasn't left the program in as bad of shape as Baron (almost zero A-10 level talents on the roster) or Jerry D. (roster full of low character guys or questionable talent). But the team underachieved, and more importantly, got worse as the year went on.

I thought about that but I wanted to keep the regraded the same as the past two seasons.

Also I put this out before he got fired. I was expecting the decision to be after the A10 Tournament on Tuesday March 15.

Over the course of 4 years a C- had a good stretch from late 2019 through Feb 2020 which was probably a B+. Outside of that a D. I gave an emotional F minus earlier but that’s really reserved for Jerry D.
