If we can beat Richmond and St. Bonaventure without Elmore it would set up nice for her to hopefully come back fairly healthy at Dayton. Supposedly she was around 60% last night

Richmond could be tough... Q2 road game. Hoping Elmore is back then. They shouldn't need her to beat Bona, however.

She is no longer listed on the roster and last played February 2nd against St. Louis.
She looked to be a good situational player with her size.

The writeup from today's game against Richmond includes Marie-Paule Foppossi among those being honored on senior day this coming Wednesday.
She is listed as a redshirt-junior.

Up Next Rhode Island hosts St. Bonaventure on Wednesday, Feb. 23. The game will be the Senior Night, and Rhody players Chanell Williams, Marta Vargas, Dez Elmore, Emmanuelle Tahane and Marie-Paule Foppossi will be honored during the pregame ceremony.

If this is really Foppossi's last season, then the team will have a completely different look next year.

Great! Honestly thought Dez was our most important player down the stretch, surprised that she wasn't higher up.

Absolutely!
Tammi took a team picked to finish 11th last year to 3rd. She got A10 Coach of the Year.
Thorr raised her pay to match Cox (minis the attendance perks and add on Cox gets) he also added two years to her contact last spring.
Thorr knows
Now Tammi has URI among the top 2 teams in the A10
In 3 years.

Last season 2020-2021, the NCAA went to NET for WBB replacing RPI. This is only the 2nd WBB Season with NET.

What a shame for the A10. They go from 4 teams possible to get NCAA Bids to possibly only the Conference Champion to going NCAA with the AQ

The NET crushed the hopes of the A10 for At-Large possibilities.

RPI
28-URI
33-Dayton
34-Fordham
38-UMASS

NET
43-Dayton
51-UMASS
55-URI
66-Fordham

The fact that URI is ahead of Dayton in RPI kind of shows what a worthless stat it is, though. It's overall a good thing for the sport that they moved away from it, even if it doesn't benefit our program.

No question Tammi has done a great job this season, but make no mistake her record was a bit tarnished by the poor performance by the team in the early ouster by St. Joe's in the A-10. This fact was drilled home when UMass easily beat SJU the next day by almost 20 points. This is the same UMass, twice beaten by Rhody, that is leading Dayton by 14 in the A-10 Championship game as I type this. This is the mark of a truly good team - playing well when the chips are down. URI didn't do this in the two games against Dayton plus the SJU game.

UMASS wins WBB A10 Championship over Dayton. Sam Breen with 19P and 9 R as the A10 POY led UMASS to the upset win.

Watched Kentucky-NET 36 upset #1 Ranked South Carolina-NET 1 and Dawn Staley for the SEC Championship.
South Carolina missed 2 important FTs with seconds remaining and up by only 1 point. Kentucky hit a 3 with 4 seconds left for the win.
