Anyone that really knows me understands that I am not satisfied with mediocrity.
I never liked the Baron hire and expressed those feelings early on to many of the Rhody faithful. I thought we just settled after coming off the debacle with Jerry D.

However, I do have realistic expectations for this team.
I also feel we will get to the NCAAT sooner with this staff than if we started over.
Mostly because I like the roster he assembled.

I just don't think Cox has been given adequate time just yet.
Time will tell.

So what is adequate time-a decade? That would be the situation if they gave him an extension. It would be the same exact scenario as Baron. This 2021 and coaches don’t get 10 years to get to the tournament. I know you are going say this is not a blue blood school, etc. I don’t think we afraid of losing anyone if Cox is fired like we were when he was up for the job and had all those terrific recruits. None of which are with the team any longer

Ok, second half, guys: Here's where, we are up by double digits, and you had 4 really bad turnovers on back to back possessions, all in a row, and I said, ah, heck with it, I'm not calling a time out, that's classic Rhody basketball right there. I finally called a T.O. when they cut the lead to 2.

If Sheppard is the PG this year, we are doomed. He's a fine player, but his strengths are his shot and his ability to drive to the basket. He's an average passer at best and his turnover parade down the stretch is what cost us this game. Imagine how he'll fare against teams better than FGCU? Leggett has been even worse, to the point where you have to bench him. Maybe he's hurt? El-Amin is in constant foul trouble and seems invisible on offense most of the time.
I truly feel this team has talent, but I don't have any faith that Cox will find a way to make these pieces fit together. He so consistently makes baffling decisions, like having Sheppard guard Dunn-Martin. I guess he was going for speed vs speed, but anyone with eyes could tell you Sheppard is our worst defender save for Walker.

They could have called a foul a couple possessions before on the shot prior to the out of bounds review, so it sort of evened out. URI definitely "earned" this loss

If you watched you would have seen FGCU stinks. They run around chucking up shots and praying they go down. The first half was varsity vs freshmen. We went into half up 11 and it could have easily been 20+
