First “test” against a Q3 team on a neutral floor.

Absolutely no coaching down the stretch as a 3 possession lead turned into a 3 possession deficit without so much as a timeout.

Chucking threes and iso ball is all well and good when the shots go in, but we probably could’ve used some actual basketball to be played at some point.

Wait a minute. I thought we were the only team besides the Bonnies that was trustworthy in the A-10. We had huge wins over BU, Bryant and the future last place BC team in the ACC. Hopefully the team improves as the season goes on, but people started to over hype us. This isn't a great Tulsa team

Very disappointing loss . The bench didn't offer anything tonight. When Thomas and Walker were in in the 7 minute mark they seemed to have
nothing offensively including a bad miss from Thomas that didn't even hit the rim and walker looked lost all night . I was starting to get my hopes up
when the were up 7 , thinking maybe they would surprise us with a really strong season , but that feeling didn't last very long and I'm back to just hoping
they can have at least an ok season, nothing to get too excited about .Oh well, it's a long season . Sorry I paid the 29.95 as I worried I would be .
I'll make it up by watching the games from home instead of buying tickets . Hope the proclaimed sharp shooter Chance Stevens can make the difference
next season because they need someone to spread the defenses . Tulsa did it from three and we couldn't match it. We have been looking for that shooter/difference maker since Jimmy Baron left.

This is the only time I've ever seen a team down by 2 possessions not foul and just let the clock run out. The odds of winning when fouling, down by 6.....very low. The odds of winning when not fouling, down by six......zero.

This was our first test and they completely outplayed us...If we lost a close hard-fought game I wouldn't be as worried but they looked like a much better team. Let's see if we can beat another below-average team tomorrow!

Gotta go back to BAR's suggestion that the Mitchell's be limited to ONE DRIBBLE--coaches please think about this. Also can the coaching staff work on eliminating fouls 35 feet from the basket.

Looking at the boxscore what stands out is once again the turnovers and Tulsa went 12-13 from the line and we did okay but still missed 6 fts . It
looked to me we lost this game late in the second half when Thomas and Walker were in the game . Also they gave up 10 offensive rebounds to 7 for URI .That didn't help things

Tomorrow is a big game for the URI coaching staff. We got Boston College again. There should not be many surprises and we do not have our home crowd but I'd say we have a little more talent. We have a reasonable amount of experience on the team as well. I'd of much rather had the Utes but this will be interesting.

1. Mitchells and Twan take more than 1 dribble and I’d yank em.

2. If either of the Mitchell’s get a foul before the first TO I’d sub immediately with Malik or Twan.

3. And I would never ever sit Shep, Ish or Ish at the same time. One of them needs to be on the floor at all times.

Through the first four games, 23.9% of URI possessions are ending in a turnover, per KenPom. 14.3% are ending in a non-steal (unforced) turnover, which is bottom 20-ish in the country. Need to make smarter decisions and put guys in position to make smarter decisions.

Our three bigs, with 11 TO's, had more than the entire Tulsa team. Leggett and El-Am were 3-13 FG, 0-5 on treys. Bad ball handling, bad guard shooting (ex Sheppard) plus we did not dominate the boards = a loss

I know this may sound crazy and will very likely never happen, but I wonder if Leggett would be better off the bench with this lineup? It has nothing to do with Leggett's talent level by any means, and who starts ultimately isn't what it's all about, but I feel like when he is out there with the starting lineup he has become the 5th scoring option. I just wonder if he might have more opportunities to impact the game that way.

Its probably not the best solution, but whatever it is, he seems to have gotten lost out there the last couple games.

Not a bad question by adam914. Won't hurt to shake things up a bit. Try starting Carey. Cox cannot have Sheppard and ElAmin out of the game at the same time since there in no outside threat.

Definitely agree with this turnovers definitely reason we lost this game can’t expect to lose turnover battle 15-9 against a decent team

Also agree with both Mitchell’s and Twan being the biggest culprits we have to do a better job of taking care of the ball or we not going to beat anyone decent

Too cheap to subscribe to FloSports, so I didn’t see the game. I had the same impression after checking the box score. Rhody’s field goal percentage was higher, shot more free throws and the rebounding was basically even. Tulsa had 13 more field goal attempts, though.

We had this game until mid-second half…we got rattled by a few bad calls (and a bad foul by Mitchell at half court) and Defensive intensity dropped. All of a sudden they were getting to the rim when they had not all night.

Tres sounds frustrated. He went off on a writer earlier who said he redshirted last season. Tres said he didn’t know what he was talking about, even though the school’s official site said he redshirted. I like the passion. Thinking twice before tweeting is never a bad move, though.

Not thrilled about BC versus URI Part 2: Electric Boogaloo. Was BC’s poor shooting the first time around on their offense or URI’s defense? Rhody has the talent to win again, should be a nice test of their focus and resolve.
