6'7", not super athletic - but looks like he really knows how to play, is fundamentally sound and, most importantly,... he can shoot it.

Yes he can shoot the ball. But he is not that athletic. Is he an elite defender?
We don't take shooters who can play tight man defense.
I have heard it said on this board that Jimmy Baron wouldn't have
on spot on our team now. He was a defensive liability. Why would
we take Ross. Just askin1!!

I feel like we really need at least one guy like that on the roster every year. I’m not sure if it’s this guy or not - I just don’t know enough about him. But as far as constructing a roster, my preference would be to try to collect some pieces that do different things. I’m not, and never have been, a big fan of “we only recruit athletic freaks.” Miss out on too many good players that way, and it can leave you exposed when matchups or game situation dictates that you have to be able to do something that your roster isn’t built to do.

I am in complete agreement with TP on this whole post . I think Chico 78 was being a little ' tongue in cheek ' with his comment about why would we take this player .

We need guys who are fundamentally sound and can shoot it.

Great athletes who don't have a high BB IQ and can't shoot [that includes FT's] well we have had, and still have, plenty of those.

For proof just look at players that McKillop recruits at Davidson. A high IQ team with less athletic players can win games against so called more talented teams. Good basketball instincts are essential.

We need more SMART players like Leggett. Not easy to get, but boy is it worth it!

You know, guys who can attack a zone and play efficient half court offense.

Something we almost never do.

He seems to be an under the radar recruit who is versatile with good range and from what I read very coachable. We look to be his best offer to date and very curious about his recruitment and what he decides. We also have redshirt freshman Ileri and incoming recruit Abdou Samb at the forward position, so we will see how he fits in if he comes here.

With three of our four latest recruits we're going head to head with Brown, Rice, Robert Morris, Towson, Yale, East Carolina, George Mason, Kent State, Drake, Green Bay, and IUPUI. I don't see how we can be consistently good in the Atlantic 10 when our current staff isn't known for their player development and we're battling it out with schools like these for players

Committed to University of Wisconsin/Milwaukee.
Remember 5* SF/PF Patrick Baldwin Jr. (#4 ranked player) just signed with them this week also.
