https://ekusports.com/news/2019/11/13/m ... ton%20said.

Originally from Detroit, the 5'10" Green Jr. led La Lumiere School to a 38-1 record and an appearance in the Geico High School National Title Game in 2019.
Green Jr. chose EKU over the likes of TCU, Depaul, Akron and Rhode Island.
"Wendell is one of the best point guards in the country," Hamilton said. "He is the son of a coach and it is most evident in meaningful games with his extremely high basketball IQ."

Green had a great freshman year at Eastern Kentucky making 1st team OVC

He will replace Sharife Cooper at Auburn at PG

A native of Detroit URI used it's Michigan connections to recruit Green out of La Lumiere School. Would have been a great PG for us but he had a great freshman season at EKU.

In the OVC Tournament Green's stats:

Beat Austin Peay 70-67: 39 min, 7-13 FG, 3-4 3P, 6-7 FT, 3 rebounds, 5 assists, 6 steals, 1 TO, 23 points
Lost Morehead St 64-67: 37 min, 12-20 FG, 4-6 3P, 1-2 FT, 3 rebounds, 4 assists, 1 TO, 29 points

Auburn reloading this year with nice additions:

By JACOB POLACHECK
Auburn has landed a commitment from UNC transfer forward Walker Kessler, he announced Monday via Instagram.
“I am excited to play for a great coach at an awesome school and be close to home and my family,” Kessler said via Instagram. “War eagle!”
Kessler, a 7-foot-1, 245-pound freshman center out of Newnan, GA, averaged 4.4 points, 3.2 rebounds, 0.3 assists and 0.9 blocks as a freshman during the 2020-21 season.
Coming out of Woodward (GA) Academy, Kessler was ranked by 247Sports.com as the No. 6 center and No. 28 overall prospect in the Class of 2020.
After losing freshman guard Sharife Cooper to the NBA Draft, Auburn has been busy in the transfer portal, landing commitments from Eastern Kentucky guard Wendell Green Jr. and Charleston guard Zep Jasper.
Auburn is also set to bring in five-star forward Jabari Smith Jr. and four-star shooting guard Trey Alexander in its 2021 recruiting class.

Georgetown getting King helps offset the loss of Wahab, plus they also have an excellent recruiting class including 4* center Ryan Mutombo, son of Dikembe.

Walker Kessler is the son of Chad Kessler who played at UGA and in the NBA. His uncle, Alex Kessler, also played at UGA. Walker is a big pick up for Auburn.

Here we go. One bid leagues being feeder systems for P5 schools. Get used to it. The P5 schools will continue to use this as a supplement to recruiting high schools/prep schools.
