am looking for improvement in 2 areas:
1. no more "illegal substitution" penalties (too many men on the field)
2. Carrick to start making important kicks

There's 2 more wins a year right there

Any info on starting Quarterback? I would assume its either Hill or Robinson. We recently picked up a transfer DE for Rutgers (Matt Thomas). Looks like Tippett is cleared to play and Oneil Robinson transferred from UConn where he saw extended time in the secondary. Secondary should be a strength with what we have coming back. Recently added two transfer receivers- Jeremiah Falls (Western Kentucky) and Jelani Foster (Buffalo). Interested to see if Kevin Brown Jr. will be an upgrade in our running game or will Zoe Bryant carry the load if he can stay healthy.

L.B. Mack and James Markszin are back and should help on the pass rush. Hearing Malachi Burby DE the Rutgers transfer is going to help. The player I'm most interested in is Freshman Defensive lineman, Westerly Neal. Highest ranked recruit during Flemming era.

Unfortunately offensive line looks very young with only two starters back and could be weakest group.

If Hill is healthy I'd have to think he'd be the starter. It should help that he should have chemistry with Ed Lee having played in high school together

LIRAM-interesting take. Disagree slightly, improvement will have to be from new players (IMO)-here's why-DBs were awful and best one (Mbaye) is gone.
Mazlin & others on D line just flopped around last season out there. Running game has to improve, last years line blocked waaay too high and got noooo movement. Talent is there, but a new crop of players and coaches having to mesh again. The play calling has to be an improvement also.

Nice commitment from Sebastian Sabor. Kind of bounced around in H.S. (Bergen Catholic, Erasmus Hall-Brooklyn and ended up at Grayson in Georgia because of Covid). He gave a verbal to Georgia Tech and had 20 FCS offers from some really nice programs. Looks like he is ending up here! Great sized outside backer with edge rushing ability.

Definitely bringing in some talent. There is also a buzz with what the program is doing. Many of these guys are connected and current players/ new recruits are helping with getting guys here. Hopefully we see some results!

Grayson finished #4 in the Nation USA Today Top 25 with a record of (14-0) to win the Georgia Highest Division State Championship (7A)

There is no way Kasim won't be the starter.

Ya don't go from Maryland to Tennessee to Rhody to not start.

However, the Vols were abysmal at QB this past season and Kasim wasn nowhere near contention for any playing time.

So don't expect too much from him...

He couldn't compete for playing time because he was not eligible to play due to transfer rules. He was their scout team QB for the year.

Incorrect. That was last year.

He transferred during training camp this year.

Just didn't have much of a chance with Jarrett Guarantano returning for a fifth year, even though he is an abomination at QB, two sophomores who started for the Vols in 2019 and Harrison Bailey a five star freshman.

As long as he takes care of the ball for Rhody we should be good. He didn't really light it up for Maryland, but he should be ready to at least be better than Vito.

My fault. I was thinking of 2019 as last year.

Agree. I think that falls on coaching. Getting the players in-sync when they need to go in and come out.

I prefer that we are actually playing a spring season. It will be good practice, no matter how well we play. i don't think this season counts for a year of eligibility, so everyone is playing for "free". It will be a nice tune up for Fall 2021.

The only issue is for a big injury like an ACL players won't have enough time to rehab and come back for fall

agreed-especially if a team was candidate for a conference title in the fall.
so,the injury factor never crossed my mind.
This team has waaaay tooo many kinks to work out before worrying about injuries or who is going to make their rings.

Yeah I wouldn't be worried about injuries. I would be more concerned about us playing terrible or looking like a high school team. Long periods off without a lot of organized practices often lead to this.

Many said:
NCAA FBS Football would not be played - it was
The Big 10 and Pac 12 would never play - they did
The Big 10 and Pac 12 would cause the ACC, SEC and Big 12 would fold under and follow the Big10 and Pac12 - they didn't fold and Bowl Games were held
The NFL would not play - it did
The NFL would not make it through the season to the playoffs - they did
The NBA would not take place - it did
The College Basketball Season would not take place - it did
The NCAA College Basketball Tournament would not take place - it is about to
The FCS Football would not be played - it did not - but is about to start in the spring
