This is one of those games that will tell you a lot about our makeup player wise.

Mitchell’s misses are nothing short of an impressive anomaly. Like so many good moves to lead to open shots at the rim. Just incredible to miss those.

And GW is hitting 3’s with hands in their faces at a clip that is equally unbelievable.

Cox not doing any favors with his usage of Carey and some lapses.

Hopefully he keeps his rotation tight down the stretch.

Our defense is really bad, no one can stay with their man. Has no one figured out that Battle goes to his left every single time. Defense wins games, we have none.

I want to stay optimistic. So instead of calling out a lot of the obvious - I am going to look at Mitchell missing that many layups and leave it at that.

But we were up 7 with under 4 mins and let a shitty team close the game on a 15-2 run...

Everyone here can bitch and moan about this, that or the other thing. Makhel Mitchell lost the game. Shit happens. But missing 8-9 shots from under the hoop is not acceptable.

Defense feels like it was bad but it wasn’t that horrible. Battle and bishop shot out of their minds. So many shots with hands in their face.

Hard to watch. Very hard to watch. Obviously they had a game plan to get it inside to Mitchell. In the first half they were forcing lobs which resulted in TO's. Mitchell missed way too many layups/dunks - easy easy shots for someone of his skill level. Thats the game. GW shoots lights out from 3 - Battle is impressive - we played great D on him for most of those 3's.

Good chance this team does not win a game in a 10 tournament.. unacceptable loss even with shortening rotation in 2nd half.. frustrating.. we just are not a good team.. consistently inconsistent..

One of the truly pathetic efforts of all time. I really, really like Dave as a person but I don’t see how they can go on with him at the helm. This experiment is functionally over, and every day from now until the next coach is named is not just a waste and a day we spend drifting further from where we need to be, but an active decaying of the program.

If I’m mad at anything it’s the Dayton win.

Like I would’ve rather lost out and started a coaching search than have that meaningless win to follow it up with this loss.

Lose out and start over with a new coach or go to the NCAA with an auto bid. In between is Baron and I’m really over that at this point in my life.

Suck hard or win out. Mediocrity is the absolute worst.

Other than with his mouth did Walker make an appearance today? Last 4 minutes of the game we are invisible starting with Cox slowing it down resulting in a pray at the end of the shot clock. Did Walker ever get the ball down low other than once early in the game? Think he could have been effective there but we did not even look at that possibility.

Do we scout teams? I know Cox didn't know about Tre Mitchell not playing in the UMass game. Did he know that Bishop goes to his left and only his left? The Cox can do no wrong people on here will blame Mitchell or try to find whatever other reasons they can. If this was a random bad game, I"d buy that, but it's not. Another bad loss under David Cox.
