Carey's first play. Drive, stripped and dunk on the other end. In mid-game form already.

Jalen Carey, Betrand, and Harris playing is proof that Cox has zero plans to change the rotation.

Who cares about the starting lineup? The minutes are the same.

Why is Fatts playing? Even the announcers are talking about how noticeable it is.

LOL we finally score to stop the run and then he takes the timeout to get a worse lineup in there. Fun times.

This Harris, Carey, Malik, DJ, Fatts line is sickening.

I was hoping Cox made some realizations by starting Ish tonight but I was wrong.

Carey comes in, first possession turnover, 2nd possession miss shot.

Walker layup to stop the bleeding, Cox calls his timeout, then puts in Harris and Carey who have combined for two turnovers and an awful left handed hook shot.

What the hell is Cox doing?

I think you answered your own question regarding Fatts. Imagine how much more we’d have to play the bench crew without him

Also I don’t think AB belongs in the same sentence as Carey and Harris. He’s at least proven he can play at points

The 2nd half should be for all 20 minutes, Fatts, Ish, Sheppard, Walker and Mitchell. They have a combined 2 fouls.

There should only be 1 sub at a time for the starting 5. You want AB in, sit Ish for a breather and 2 minutes later sub him in for Fatts.
Take AB out and Walker out, put Fatts back in with DJ.

Sheppard shouldnt be out for more than 2 minutes a half.

It seems like everytime we get a lead in a game we all look at each other and say "well guys..we did it!" And then we just stop playing basketball.

What in the hell was the last nine minutes of the game?

It's both players and team. Walker, you're having the game of your life, have a seat... Sheppard, you had 6 points early tonight, sit.... We broke their 13-0 run, TO.

You’re right we should play fatts for 40 minutes instead. That way he can take and miss 15 3s. Or maybe get double digit turnovers at this rate. There’s plenty of nights to bitch about our bench getting minutes, this isn’t one of them. Fatts stinks and ish has looked average at best

Shepard was 2 for 3 when it was tied 8-8. He missed 2 more shots in the next 2 minutes or so and after the 11:53 mark, did not get another shot! You tell me you have no plays to get your best shooter some looks? But your worst shooter is allowed to go 1-5, 0-4 from three in the last 6 minutes? That is lack of coaching. Lack of discipline.

Try getting the ball to Walker down low. I think he has touched the ball once (other then his offensive rebound) within 10 feet of the basket. Let him try to do something on offense.

Is Carey, Betrand or Martin better options? Once they get the ball, it's never getting passed, at least to anyone on our team. They are turnover machines.

Fatts needs to be the PG and distribute if he can't shoot.

So who do you play with Sheppard at guard? And then why did he pull Sheppard also? Why would he put a lineup of Fatts, Malik, DJ, AB, Harris?

I'll answer my own rhetorical questions
1) no one
2) because we don't distribute minutes properly
3) same as 2

Add the three layups that we missed and the points CAREY gave to the Billikins and we would be up by 6 or so.

Playing Carey is like giving points to the opposition.

PS when their point guard was out, was that not a good time to try some full court pressure with Goodwin bringing it up.

(Cox said he did not notice it)

Also, I think the coaching staff was surprised that St Louis would play a zone for part of the time. PS a man at the free throw line does not do anything against a version of a 1-3-1. UGH!!!

If you were actually watching the game you’d know AB and Martin not only were both on the floor for the 8-0 run but both hit 3s during it. So I’d say yes they were decent options

That’s more or less my point. Easy to blame Cox but no guard on this team has don’t anything meaningful to deserve minutes tonight at this point (besides Shep)

The one bright spot this year for me has been the development of Mitchell. He has really showed some nice offensive moves to go along with good defense.
