The same thing happened to Jeff Dowtin last season, the team was notified by the NCAA an hour before the game.

Damn Jacob Toppin doing huge things at Kentucky.

A whole 8 minutes of play in a blow out, 4th guy off the bench, 2 points.

And like I said in another thread, I think 2 players were suspended for Kentucky. That'll move him further down the depth chart when they're back.

You were wrong in the other thread too. No players were suspended for Kentucky. The suspensions were on their women’s team.

You were wrong in the other thread too. No players were suspended for Kentucky. The suspensions were on their women’s team.

Why such hate for Toppin?

He wasn't even expected to play this year at all, now he is getting 9 minutes in his first game with Kentucky.
I hope he does well at Kentucky and makes it to the NBA. I wish he had stayed at URI but he decided it wasn't in his best interest just like the other 900+ players that transferred last year.

6pts, 10 rebs, 3asts off the bench. Picking up where he left off for us, Tyrese is such a well rounded player.

Uconn is deep, wouldn’t be surprised if he demands minutes

I realize one game is hardly a statistical sample, but it looks like, at least for the time being, he’s going to have to get most of his points on hustle plays and putbacks. I don’t think they ran one play for him tonight.

Agreed. A little obvious but I think Hurley really values those type of guys that will just go out and play. Ball will come his way as he earns more looks

Of all the guys we lost (excluding seniors) I think Martin is by far our biggest loss. I think it’ll be tough to pick up the lost rebounding ability from him and CL.

Damn I liked Dana when he was here. Forget basketball, I just hope he can put it together and even graduate at a CC and setup a nice career for himself. A lot of us aren't the same at 30 as we are at 20 y.o. so here's to him flipping the switch at some point.

Jeff's numbers for the G League combine were fantastic. I really wouldn't be the least bit surprised to see him get a two way contract, and wouldn't be shocked by a short stint in the NBA.

It would make me so happy to see him get called up! If he shoots a good percentage he can do it! His defense and basketball IQ ain't no joke.

Outstanding game for Tyrese Martin in UConn's rout of DePaul. He was the game's high scorer with 22 points, 2-3 on treys, 10 rebounds, zero turnovers.
