It’s comments like this that make me scratch my head. Mitchell is trying to do what big men do. A coach will never say, he’s better than you stop trying. We have 3 bigs. One is now hurt. The other has a bad wheel. Maybe it’s the word repercussions...he need to adjust his attack. Make him FOUL you.

Now, granted...I feel the same way you do, he should absolutely pass, but I think they need to start going into his chest and stop trying to shoot over him.

I think the 2nd part of your post is my issue. It’s one thing if these are “go at him and make him foul you” type plays. Every single one has been post hook or fade.

Again regardless of what happens to finish this game, every issue has been the same story. Start slow, and take way too long to adjust. Leggett played 5 first half minutes, just no excuse that we let Sheppard lead the team in first half minutes when it was abundantly clear he had nothing going on

Cox doesn’t understand momentum or doesn’t believe in it.

Taking out DJ at any point in this game was absolutely stupid.

This is another inexcusable loss.

It’s YEAR 3 of a non-rebuild. Disgusting.

Coach never calls timeout to setup a play at end of game. I know I sound like a broken record but I simply do not understand. Almost all other coaches do it and setup a play they like but it is simply not Coach Cox style I guess.

Thank you Cox. Why would you coach the players to get the ball down low and take it to Bassey???
As part of the "scout" for this game did anyone let you know that Bassey led the country, that is, ALL OF THE USA, in blocked shots. Your team wasted too many possessions trying to take it to him.

I love Dave. He was the right choice at the time - but it’s the same issues every single time.

Fatts runs wild and takes the most shots as probably the 3rd or 4th best shooter on the team.

The most promising guard plays the least minutes.

This team is not ready to play at the opening tip.

Ridiculous time outs that make no sense.

Lack of adjustments. It’s like we are totally unaware of who good players on the other team are and how to adjust to them. Or not knowing who “has it” and who doesn’t and how to call plays for them.

Just disgusting and disheartening. Need to win the A10 now. What a waste.

As is often the case with the home team, WKU won it at the ft line. Not surprising. It is very difficult to win on the road against decent to good teams. That is why the big boys hardly ever play away.

I would now expect Cox to try to schedule another opponent to get an easy win and even out the OOC record.

This type of team is frustrating for good reason, doesn’t make it any easier to stomach. You KNOW the upside is there, but there’s a reason they are who they are - they’re not consistent. It’s hard to accept for myself included. I think expectations are honestly just a little too high. Do I want to settle? No. But you’re the 3rd-6th best team in a mid major conference. There will be bumps and bruises along the way

So glad I can’t read the whiners whine. I’m sure it’s the same shit.

We lost, season isn’t over. All is NOT lost. We’ve got to continue to work. It takes longer for teams that lack an identity to find themselves. It’s the reality of it. Sure, that falls first on the lap of Cox, but players have to hold themselves accountable. The missed layups and FTs are on them. Plenty of opportunities around for us to win the game, never capitalized.

Ish and/or DJ need to start. Period. That is my biggest gripe.

Martin doesn’t give us enough offense to start.

On to Davidson. Long season. Have seen stranger things happen.

That was the game. Their big man just out hearted whoever it was we had near the ball. Would have had the ball tied game 30 seconds left. Give them the loose ball then don’t box out again

Can Martin be moved to the end of the rotation. He sucks. He missed the rim three times for 2-6 ft. Zero points, 1 Reb & 2 TOs.

Martin did not look good. There were like three possessions he drove, which was fine, but then the defense colapsed and he forced a bad shot instead of passing to wide open teammates. He really hasn’t passed much and it showed a lot today

Not a feel good loss by any means. Frustrating to watch. Lots of chances to close this out and we didn’t. Missed bunny layups and free throws late.

Yet games like this early in the season should help us later in the year. Hope the Mitchell injury isn’t serious. That would hurt.

Looking forward this Makhi injury could be very bad for us. The front court felt deep but with how foul happy all our bigs are it’s concerning. You saw late what happened when Makhi was out and both JH and Mehkel were in foul trouble. Specifically one possession I think WKU legitimately got 3-4 straight Offense rebounds

Hi. Wku fan here. Yalls team imo is very good just chemistry and a few loose ends need to be adressed the same goes for wku. Very sloppy game but perhaps both teams created enough problems for each other....and themselves. I think yall will be in the tournament. I also think both teams play up to or down to whatever teams they may play. On our side its chemistry. Upside to our team is players like rawls, mcnight, frampton, anderson, williams. Imagine if everyone was firing on all cylinders. Ik a few of yalls fams think this game shouldve been an easy win.....thats where i disagree. I was scared of yall but i also still believed in our guys. Great game sorta and heads up yall are good. Hopefully both teams start gelling and do whats expected.

How bout that throwdown by josh anderson tho

I still to this day, do not understand why a 6-9 to 6-11 guy who gets the ball under the basket tries to pussy the ball into the basket (and miss). Those should be jams. It boggles my mind and we have seen it from many, many players.

Biggest disappointment this season and it’s not even close.

He’s looked lost 95% of the time this season. Anyone who says otherwise has their blinders on (which I’m sure some of you do).

Bad loss. Bad effort period today. Team should be at least 5-2 (let’s assume they would’ve lost to Nova, on Day 2 in the bubble). Team has size. Team has athletes. Team has guard play. Team has shooting (supposedly lol

). But game in, game out there are too many things missing. Whether it’s the senior star stepping up, experienced transfers stepping forward, playing with offensive discipline, playing with defensive discipline, having any semblance of in-game adjustments, having any semblance of gameplan (what we taking away or what we’re imposing on them), or.....I could go on forever. Unless all these guys take a hard look in the mirror and take accountability for what’s happening. AND I MEAN EVERYONE!! There will be many more games like this one, coming up very soon.

He said when Jermaine plays with high intensity he can be a difference maker. He said he needs to watch film of today’s game and watch Bassey. Not the blocks, not the dunks, not the moves, but how Bassey runs the floor so hard on every single play. Bang. I was thinking that since forever.
