This young man has every right to make his own decisions. I have never heard anyone rave about his defense so maybe he works hard to become a better player and gets the offers of his dreams. If he is really smart he works on his academics because most guys are never going to get real big money playing basketball.

Need to remember the landscape is different now. If it turns out we need a point after next year, we go grab a transfer. In all likelihood one will be immediately available, and there will be playing time to offer. If one of our freshmen shows promise, we go that route. All good.

Remember we have 3 freshmen guards coming in that will be sophomores. Of course that assumes they all stay. If they do, of course you need another...there should always be a succession plan.

He’s gone. If he wanted to come to URI,he would’ve signed up now. He chose to go the prep route To get more P5 offers not to come to a lowly mid major! It’s done move on.

Maybe one day we'll get a shooter like this. With all of the transfers flying to and fro, we could possibly get one that way, not to mention the transfer moves will likely end up meaning less roster spots across the country for first year players.

Of these 4 schools, we were the only one in his previous top 5 for 2020. If he really wanted to come to URI, why didn't he pull the trigger previously for this year. I am hoping, but not overly optimistic.

At this point everyone knows what Will Wade is all about.
So, if you commit there and something happens and you get dragged into a scandal, just be a man and don't act surprised.

AND, if he is the kind of kid that wants to be associated with a program like that, you probably don't want him anyways.
(Honestly not sour grapes, just the way I feel.)

I was saying the sane thing to a friend yesterday. Why would anyone want to play for a program under such a dark cloud...
