Dayton is a very good team. Really exposed our weaknesses. Losing to them is not a disgrace. Just humbling and disappointing.

I’m sick. We’re not good enough. And it’s not on these kids, we’re just not good enough. I feel bad for them. They had a good season but fell apart when it mattered. It’s the fact that we’ve seen this movie so many times before that makes it worse.

And holy fuck - How many lose balls/bad passes have we forced in the past 4 games that bounce into the hands of an open shooter? It doesn’t matter, it wouldn’t have made a difference. But it’s like if you’re getting kicked in the nuts to begin with and the person is wearing a steel-toed boot as well.

I’m tired of seeing...

- Our opponents consistently get close to the rim (and make every shot)
- Bricked 3-pointers
- Bricked free throws
- Fatts aggressively taking the ball to the hole, probably getting fouled and falling to the floor.

No one else in college basketball feels bad for us, and they shouldn’t. This program went from having clear path to a punched ticket to being absolutely launched off the bubble. Like completely and utterly out of the discussion. It’s a defeated group.

I’ll say it again. I love these kids. Ill always love Cyril and Jeff. But I’m starting to hate Senior night.

Dayton would beat us 99 out of 100 times we played. They are such a better team with smart players and good coaches. Great atmosphere tonight at least. This will probably be the last we see of a crowd like this. There were some good moments for sure this year, but failed in the end. Please no one bring up the NIT or winning the A-10 tourney. Playing in the NIT is like some bad pickup game no one cares about. End of the season is today. Hopefully they recruit some shooters and smart players. Can’t take watching Toppin, Walker or Harris shooting another 3 pt shot.

Bummer, the kids tried, just don't have the talent and coaching to match up with Dayton. Any team to beat Dayton will need to shoot lights out and we are not that team. Even without Obi I think the Flyers would only have 2 conference losses to this point. Crutcher is their Marcus Smart, man I can't stand the guy but would love him on my team.

JT, EC, Jarvis, Stan, Jeff and Cyril, the players who were almost exclusively responsible for the most enjoyable Rhody basketball of my life (I was a freshman in Fall of ‘99), lost by a combine 57 points on their Senior night.

Can’t say that’s how I was hoping it would go in either case.

The only positive thing I could say is that the Davidson loss made the St. Louis loss hurt less. And the Fordham win felt like a loss.
