Cox is exceeding even his biggest supporters expectations, I know as I was sold last year big time.

The recent flash of Zone defense on Saturday was yet another surprise from him.

Coach has his players ready for games, the recent comebacks from 1st half deficits is unusual for RI basketball and typically the mark of a good team.

Would like to see Thor lock up Cox with a multi year contract before we go into post season and look for the offers to come.

next year however we need Harris or somebody to fill the loss of #10. Not many impact freshman big men available anywhere.

2020 is shaping up to be an interesting season with NIT as worst case big dance possible if URI can sweep VCU on the 31st and more important to not get upset by a low level opponent.

A very entertaining team that will go as far as the level of freshmen gaining experience ultimately provides.

Should be a fun ride GO RHODY!

As far as getting a recruit from RI. It is a simple numbers game. Besides Tom Garrick, name RI High Schoolers that went on for a cup of coffee in the NBA? I'm sure I missed one or 2 maybe more so help me out and name some please?

The ones that come to mind for me are DiGregorio, Barnes, Hassett and Calverly. There probably aren't very many more, but I'm sure there are a few.

Oh Rothstein. I don't know about ZERO. Having good players tends to help teams be good in my experience.

I think he is saying it is more important what the coaches think about a player...….not a recruiting service......we have some players who were not top 100 players that are the foundation of our team....

Yeah of course, except thats not what he said. I just think some of the stuff he says is hilarious because of all the hyperbole. To say that having highly rated players has ZERO to do with winning is just so obviously not true.

The third and last scholly you would think is for some sort of transfer sit out a year type? And hold on to it until the best available?

Remember Jacob Toppin committed last Spring. There are and will be players out there. My guess would be one scholly goes to a JUCO or regular transfer to avoid overloading a class too much.

This will be atleast the 3rd game Reyes has been to. Either a top target or enjoys going to games being relatively close by.

I’m sure it’s been more than 3 games. I’m thinking at least 5 that I know of

Reyes has been here many times. He used to come with Terrance Clark. He would be a great get for the '21 class.

Just a curiosity, with 7 recruits potentially in the house tonight, who gets the job of wrangling them? I'm sure our coaches are locked into game prep today.

They bounce around between the staff all day. Spend time touring facilities with non-essential personnel. The ones on officials will experience the full game day agenda.

Plus the ones on officials have all day tomorrow to see the campus, see the area, hit the good restaurants, etc.

Are we still in on guys like Belton or Gray at the C position? Or those guys off our radar?

Love how Cox has addressed the G position.

If he was sitting by himself during the game it probably wasn’t him.
Isaiah was sitting with entire prep school team (SCA).

Love it! This could be a legitimate chance at getting a very highly ranked recruit. First one to offer, 3 more years to recruit and obviously very strong connections with Cox, Jeff and Ish.
