This has been an amazingly poorly officiated game. Had to wait until we were up two touchdowns to say it because I didn’t want to be accused of blaming the refs. They’ve missed calls to our benefit, too. Just objectively terrible all around.

As bad as that first half was, the second half was more good than the first half was bad. That’s one of the best halves they’ve played all year. Really excellent. I think Duquesne is not nearly as good as their record, but 17 second half points against a legit D1 team is always excellent.

Cyril didn’t blow up the box score, but he was the difference. Not to oversimplify but you could read this as with/without Cyril being a 30 point swing.

This is what they are capable of and why some of us (OK me) get so upset when they disappear.

Not sure anyone mentioned this but I would bet the refs got word from the NCAA to not let any games get out of hand tonight.

I thought we would win but not by that much. Great half of basketball.

that was a pretty spectacular second half, and I'm talking about our defense. Real nice offensive highlights, but wow did we put the clamps on these guys for a just dominant second half.

Moved into 2nd place in the standings with that win. As inconsistent and infuriating as this team can be at times, we really don’t have much to complain about at the moment.

This team is extremely talented defensively they will continue to keep themselves in games with these type of defensive performances. The offense will always be streaky but the defense is what our calling card is. Walker is a great addition to fill in for Cyril and harris. As I was saying before he joined he is very skilled. Duquesne should see a huge drop in their NET with URI being the best team they have faced and not even coming close to covering. URI should see a smaller jump up but nice to position themselves for that 2nd spot in a10 with taking the season matchup versus Duquesne and Saint Louis losing to Davidson.
