Rebounding is absolutely critical in this game, and Rhody is allowing themselves to get beat, particularly on the defensive boards

Rebounding without Cyril has been awful. Hope we have an answer for that come next season.

looks just like another URI game to me, slow start, missed layups, poor perimeter shooting, missed FT's, bad fouls, bad turnovers.
I'm sure we'll eventually make a game of it, but it just the same script game after game yet we keep expecting something different.

It’s so true. Every game looks like a replay of the last, particular in the first half of each game. I keep waiting for them to surprise me. Still waiting...

I'm just going to hope that if Cyril can play 18 minutes in the second half that we'll get the rebounding under control. The second chance points were killing us.

I feel like we are trying just Duquesne just plays way more under control and smarter.

We also have REFUSED to move the ball around like we do when we have been good.

Passing, pick and rolls are our bread and butter.
I know Duquesne is good on D, but again, we are settling for so many dumb iso shots.

I keep waiting for this team to show me something, but it hasn't happened yet.

Its weird, but the sum is less than the parts on this team.

And there's no energy, passion or heart. Whatever you want to call it.
No sense of urgency for the moment that they're in.

Bad shot selection, but that appears to just be the norm for this team. The rebounding is what is killing them. Maybe we are trying but something is missing - you can run up and down the court as hard as you want but when the shot goes in the air you need to find a body. Maybe that’s a different kind of effort? Or just they forgot they need the ball back? Idk, whatever it is you can’t get dominated on the glass on the defensive end and expect to win.

The lack of energy is astonishing. We’re playing like this game doesn’t even matter. Look at the rebounding stats and that should tell you everything you need to know about the effort, or lack thereof. Very disappointing.

One other note.

Fatts has been a lot more open than he thinks is on some of those drives.

He had guys beat like 3 times and just did way too much and was way too strong on the lay up.
