Listening to the people at work who are season tix holders, no one is taking the Dukes lightly. Everybody knows we can be a split personality team, and are hoping the Good Rams, the ones who played VCU, show up and not the ones who showed up at Brown. the poor game last time out really has made everybody nervous because a 7 minute scoring drought doesn't win us this game. I know it sounds like it is about us, but really it is we know DU will capitalize in a way some other teams haven't been able.

Schedule comparisons are OK but sometimes meaningless; the important factor is how you play the games and in that comparison, Duquesne has played better and more consistently as opposed to the many ugly URI wins.

So losses to UAB and Marshall isnt ugly? I think they are a team you cant take lightly and can beat URI on any given day. However, let's not make it seem like they have no inconsistent performance this year. How would our board be acting if we had the schedule of duquesne and lost to the likes of UAB and Marshall. Neither game was away and both teams are currently bottom half of the conference usa.

And they went to overtime with Fordham last weekend!! and were extremely lucky to pull out a win, just as URI was against LaSalle... How is that more consistent?? If anything they are mirroring URI on the consistency front

The great thing is that Thorr is letting in 2,000+ students today because of the empty seats. They usually allocate 1500.
More students = better

2000 students is great. The plan for crucial games should be for example if there are 800-1000 unsold tickets at 5:00 for a 7:00 game and some students are being shut out the policy should be to release all but 200-300 tickets to the students. After all is the expectation that more than 300 tickets or so will be sold at the box office in the last 2 hours before game town? The real question is what is the reasonable expectation for box office sales in the last 2 hours?

Yeah I think they should just let as many in as they can tonight. Especially for those with late classes that might miss the early 1500 who come.
