To me Fatts does not look phased by the non-start. That's key. Terrible three point try there though.

Martin plays too relaxed if that’s possible. Almost like too cool to show emotion.. idk. Sometimes you just want to slap him and say wake up and get fired up. I get that’s not his game but sometimes he looks uninterested

I'll take 34-30 over the 19 pts at the half last game. There were some miscues, a misfire from Martin to Walker and then another from Walker to Martin, stand out. But they are playing much much better, I'm not expecting perfection. There were some definite adjustments made from the last two games and we are getting some help from Davidson.

With only 8 guys to play there really isn’t much you can do to shake things up - players want to start, but they want to win more.

Fatts being a junior?
Just trying to make sense of it.
Unless he really feels fatts was the one playing out of control.
After last game I guess you can’t sit everyone.

Can you imagine the response if he started the 2 walks ons?

You guys are acting like Fatts has been terrible and costing us games. He's top 30 in the country in assists, steals and a/t ratio! And top 50 in scoring. That gets you benched and makes you "bigger than the team"? I don't know the actual reason for the move, but if thats what it was then that's an odd move.

If you're not sticking to the plan, especially the last couple of games, then yes.

I guess my thoughts weren't too far off after all.

Seems to have helped some.

Cox sending a message which I think was needed.

Play more team ball and stop with the volume of bad shots.

Yes Adam he's played well until the last 2 games. But the last 2 were going in a bad direction.

If we're going to win we need a lot better than that.

I also am confused as to why he didnt start. I am hoping its simply DC seeing a revert to Fatts of the beginning of last year. Horrible shot selection. Out of control. Launching contested off balance 3s. And he wanted to nip it while this team can salvage the season. Yes we are thin but we have 8 talented rotational players who would be seeing PT on every team in the A10. The last 2 losses were extremely harmful and not predicted but there is time to turn the season around.

Martin cannot guard the ball. People go by him every game. Not sure if it’s just him playing a smaller guy but it’s a huge problem.

Cyril= 3 bad plays in a row down the court... yanked.

all of a sudden the team comes to life.

does that mean keep Cyril out permanently? No. But sometimes you need to push the reset button. Good move by Cox

Agree. Davidson has not shot it well - part of that is definitely our doing a better job contesting but they could get going. Need to keep it up for 10 more minutes.

Win or lose this game we need to trust the coach. He wanted more ball movement and better shot selection. He could have sat Harris after his 1-4 from deep, but we weren’t at practice Monday to see the players reactions after Cox called out the team after Sundays game. Our coach is not an amateur, he is with these guys everyday, maybe he does know better than us.
