We, as a collective, are struggling. From top to bottom. Not very encouraging. Everyone needs to take a hard look in the mirror, or we are in trouble.

Missed FT’s, layups, mid-range, 3P’s, assignments...just bad basketball.

I left at halftime. This isn’t a big deal anyway. I’m sure someone will point out that we can go 15-2 down the stretch. More likely we are under .500 in conference. We have no shooters and need to recruit them fast.

Been hanging around online since 1996. This wouldn't be the first time I have seen a URI coach completely lose the confidence of the team.

It makes you wonder what has been going on behind the scenes since the MT game.

2 for 21 for two guards. I do not recall Tommy/Silk ever having as bad a shooting performance as that.

...but my feeling is any comeback is going to start w/ Defense. Below standard today.

Just terrible guard play. They really sucked all day long. The team got better with Fatts on the bench. Even though he leads the a-10 in scoring...

For me, Jeff has been the biggest disappointment this season. Who gets better, better, better each season and then gets worse his senior season? This should have been his year to show everyone he deserved A-10 1st team accolades.

Don’t mean to be that guy worrying about their personal lives. But their body language looked terrible at brown and today on the court. What are they doing off the court?
I have a bad feeling Cox is losing his players and that Tate leaving destroyed their confidence.

Well, Brown was a fluke. This isn't a fluke. This is quickly turning into a "see you next year" kind of situation.

At least we do have an entirely new backcourt coming in, and a veteran shooting guard in Sheppard will likely be available. Lack of one more solid lunch pail, hard hat, back to the basket, box out, front court player will hurt though.

I said about a month ago that it might be an issue that Dowtin and Fatts both need to have control of the offense to be at their best and because of that the sum might never be as great as the parts. That was working before because we had good Fatts. Now that we have Fatts from last year back everything has grinded to a halt.

This came up last year and people wanted to Dismiss it but I seriously think it’s an issue.

I think it is probably time for some changes - lineups, minutes distributions, offensive and defensive approach/philosophy. Basically anything they can think of to tinker with, I would turn that knob just to see what happens. There’s nothing to lose now. Everything is about trying to catch lightning in a bottle two months from now. It is apparent that the way we are currently doing things is not going to suddenly become enough.
