Forget A/TO ratio, I bet Fatts is going to have the top Steals / TO ratio in the country. He's 3/1 right now today. Averaging 3.3 / 1.7 for the year. I'm not sure I can remember anyone else doing that...

Gotta figure both teams will shoot better in the 2nd half. A combined 2-17 from 3. Not a pretty game so far. Hopefully the Rams find the rhythm first.

I don’t know what the rebounding numbers are since Cyril picked up his 4th foul, but I can tell you that they are not pretty. Getting absolutely killed on the glass. Have to play him with 4 fouls.

That play where we had 3 guys under the hoop and they all just watched the ball bounce past them to the Nicholls player leading to an easy score...followed by a timeout and being unable to inbound the ball correctly. Not a good way to win games.

I’m impressed with Nicholls. I didn’t see any of their previous three games, but you can tell watching this that their competitiveness against Illinois, Pitt and LSU was not a fluke. But still, this is a game that we should win with solid execution on the little things - defensive rebounding, taking care of the basketball and good shot selection. Just a little too aloof here to my eye. Still time to get it together, but it’s getting late.

We need to grind out the next 7 and a half minutes. Letting this game slip through our hands will be brutal before leaving for Jamaica.
Having Cyril with 4 fouls this early in the game is so tough buy if we can win it will be great as a building block for the team.

This game kind of reminds me of the LaSalle game last year. Wasted the first few possessions of the second half and instead of extending a lead and putting the team away they let them back in it. Yes, that was a bigger half time lead, but ultimately LaSalle got back in it and eventually won.

Tonight instead of extending the lead or keeping it at 4, they wasted 5 possessions and gave up the lead quickly then some pretty dumb fouls by Langevine keeping him out of the game for quite a while. (I will admit the refs missed a couple on them too).

Now, LET'S GO!
