Sorry if I missed this earlier in the thread but according to GoRhody 10 of our OOC games are not televised? That can't be right, can it?

According to press releases to date these 4 OOC games will be televised.

These will likely be more to come, and certainly streaming is likely for some, if not all, of the 8 other OOC games

NON-CONFERENCE
Friday, Nov. 15 - Alabama (NBCSN)
Friday, Nov. 22. - vs. North Texas (CBSSN)
Sunday, Nov. 24 - vs. LSU (CBSSN)
Friday, Dec. - Providence (ESPN2)

Looks like most are accounted for except some December matchups plus the January 2nd game at Brown. My assumption is ESPN+. No way does the game at WVU go untelevised?

Interesting they had PC 7th in the Big East. Coaches voted PC tied for 4th with Marquette yesterday.

Pains me to say this but PC has been underrated almost every year under Cooley...including this year. They are definitely Top 5 in BE and I could see them in the Top 3 if all their chips fall into place. People forget how good AJ Reeves looked before he got hurt, and I can't think of a big in that league that will be as formidable as Watson. IMO they are our 2nd toughest OOC game behind Maryland.

BAR,
Just last season PC was picked preseason to finish #3 and they finished a dismal tied for 8th place. Point Guard was a huge problem for Cooley. Plus injuries. Outside shooting was worse than expected. But certainly the biggest disappointment from preseason expectations among BE teams

A big difference this season could be Emmitt Holt. I’ve heard very good things about his play from some PC connections.
Right now things are not looking good injury wise for big men Watson and Gantt but this could open the door for Holt to grab a starting spot and keep it.

Disagree that Holt will be a big impact. Recent article about him said he needs to move his offense outside.
Gantt is a Fr (6’7”) and weighs 200 lbs. He will not be in their rotation even if he is healthy. I believe he plays the wing.
Jimmy Nichols (6’8” 220) bulked up the most in the offseason. Cooley is expecting him to have an impact down low.
Young started at Center ahead of Watson the first half of last year and split time with him. Young (6’9” 250) will start in front of Holt (6’7” and thin).

Holt may or may not contribute significantly but a comeback by him would truly be inspirational. Most know I’m not a PC fan at all, far from it, but one can’t help but root for a guy like that with what he has been through.
I have heard some good things about Holt from long time PC acquaintances.

Exactly. But his was not just an injury, it was very, very serious. He has come a long way in his recovery.

Wasn’t really sure where to put this, but does anyone know who we should talk to about fixing the public URI MBB google calendar? It shows duplicate calendar events for 5 different games. For example it shows two games vs. Western Kentucky on 12/21, one at 1pm and another at 3pm. When u connect the public calendar to your Personal google calendar it doesn’t give you the option of removing events, so it’s kind of annoying if you’re semi-OCD like myself and you use google calendar for everything.

I like Holt. Wish him the best. He was an impact player but that was 3 years ago. This is his 6th year. He used his size well then. His body is totally different now. He almost passed away from his illness. He has come a long way.

Well I did some research and turns out I'm the idiot. I just had to remove the app and reinstall it on my phone. When someone changes or deletes an event it doesn't automatically remove the event. The game time for a few games must've changed at some point Sorry if I caused any confusion. Can't wait for the season to start!

Sorry if this was asked before: There used to be a link on the schedule page where you could print the schedule out on one page with dates/times/TV etc. Am I missing it or can someone provide link. I used the "icalendar" feature which is nice, but still like the old school print out.

I like the idea of these conference arrangements-one less game that the staff needs to worry abt scheduling. As long as we are good we’ll be lined up with a quality opponent.

Rhody will play 12 regular season games against teams ranked higher than them. Eight games against top 50 teams.

I'd wager that its 11 games against Top 50 when all said and done, PC (once) and Dayton (twice) should also fall in that range.

PC is definitely underrated in that list.

WV and Bama seem to be quite a bit overrated to me.

Interesting that Jaden Smith was 3-4 from three.

Gonna have to guard him all over the court.
