Cathy and I were both educators in Glastonbury Connecticut in the late 70’s. She was a physical Ed instructor at the local middle school. Every Friday after school the faculty would play pick up basketball. She would kick our butts. Years later her successful Vermont team came to Keaney for a game preceding the men’s game. Over a hundred Vermont fans made the trip. When the game was over she saw me sitting in the first row on the north side and came over to say hello. She even remembered me at a get together in Watch hill years later. A true class act, caring and giving educator. It was an honor to teach with her.
