It’s great that Jimmy Baron keeps a positive relationship with URI.

Saw Ryan Preston at Coney Island on the 4th, he had his Rhody jersey draped over his shoulders which is how I recognized him.

Back to back zero point outings for JT.

His NBA ship has probably sailed.

Hate watching him struggle like that

No question that JT is struggling with the few times he is put in position to score.

However, when the game was on the line with 2 seconds left, coach put JT back in the game and he did make the defensive play.

Also, it looks as if they actually ran some plays with JT, they know JT and I think it is way premature to be convinced that his "ship has sailed"

Well I said his NBA ship has probably sailed.

Didn't say I was convinced.

He needed to prove he can make shots after only shooting 29 percent from three last year and he failed miserably.

They also have new coaches in Minnesota.

So he probably wont be signed. Especially because McLaughlin is severely outplaying him. So is Kelan Martin.

He will have to show off in the G league to get back on an NBA roster.

Has JT been released from the Wolves- he’s not listed on their roster and they just signed Kelan Martin to a 2-way.

Yep he has been released.

He really struggled in the summer league.

Needed to prove he could shoot at a decent percentage and failed to do so.

He was great for us and I'm sure we are all grateful to him. Unless you're a first round pick, the odds are stacked high. They did him a favor cutting him now. He was never in their long term plans. Now he can go to Europe and cash in. He has the game and the body type to be an impact player against premiere Euro competition. I hope that's the route he takes. In the end, however, it's what makes him happy.

If he can catch on as a two-way player somewhere else, I think he should do that and hope he does. But I agree, if it’s G-league or Europe, I’d like to see him go to Europe. He’s a legit borderline NBA player. He could be one of the best players in some of the best leagues in the world. What a great life that is for a guy in his 20s.

To close the 2018-19 NBA season, 52 percent players on end-of-season NBA rosters had NBA G League experience.

Just shorts and no jersies on that site ???

Agree on JT he is a little small to be an impact NBA player but he should have a long career overseas

I wouldn't say he is too small, hes just not quite athletic enough to make up for his shooting struggles.

I didn't really watch it, but it's one of those theme songs stuck in my head forever. "I DON'T WANT TO WAIT!"

p.s. The Beek has had a nice second act playing against his initial type, especially on the awfully-named but very funny sitcom "Don't Trust The B."

I don’t have the energy bandwidth at this point in my life to spend any getting bent out of shape about Christion Thompson possibly sub-tweeting URI coaches. And nobody else should either, probably. His career got stalled out here and I’d be shocked if he thought that was 100% his fault - people don’t think that way. Moving on to Tulane was a good move for him and I don't think it cost URI much, if anything. I wish him the best and hope he has a great season down there.

If CT thought things were great here he would not have transferred. So I understand the "grass is greener" mentality. At the same time, he could have internalized it and just played up the quality of Tulane coaching without also phrasing it as a dig to Rhody.
