2019 Womens NCAA Basketball Tournament

Unread post by ramster »

A10 Tournament Winner Fordham is the #14 Seed taking on #3 Seed Syracuse on Saturday March 23 at 1pm on ESPN2
Unfortunately for Fordham, the game will be held at the Carrier Dome

Fordham has a 12 game winning streak going. Big game for 208's beloved Syracuse

eh....no real dog in the women's game fight...I kinda like the drama of a UConn loss in the final or semis...that's about as good as it gets for me and women's hoops.

I don't think UConn will make this year's final four.

Tonight they gave up 72 points to a team they would have probably beaten by 40 last year.

Winning by 12 second round is not their normal.....and it was closer than that with a minute to go.

Elite 8 exit to Louisville.

After 3 quarters UCLA leads UConn by 1.

If the Huskies lose, will the Geno retirement talk start?

I mean no one will ever approach what he's done, but maybe it's time to think about hanging it up.

Does he have a great recruiting class coming in?

Just looked it up.

Nope. They have only one commit, number 33 ranked.

For UConn, that's the worst class in recent memory.

Maybe playing in a crap conference for women's basketball is finally catching up to UConn and Geno.

Or maybe Geno is really getting ready to leave.

I figured they would win this game.

Next game though against Louisville might be the end of the dynasty.

If UConn wants to reach the Final Four, Samuelson has to break out of her slump. Bad back or not.

If not, they are done.

Well they almost made the final. They wouldn't have beaten Baylor, way too strong inside.

I think this marks the end of a remarkable 12 consecutive years making the final four.

Would not be surprised if Geno calls it quits soon.

No one will ever approach what's he done at UConn.

Next season looks to be his worst team there in quite a while. Of course they will still make the NCAA tourney, but another final four will be a big stretch. Only has one top 50 recruit coming in, and losing Collier and Samuelson is big.
