I swear if Whisky loses, I will never have them winning in another bracket. Been burned too many times.

EDIT: They got spanked.

Duke will roll them 2nd half. Coach K will not be a happy man in that locker room.

Virginia looked awful early, but righted the ship after the half.

Buffalo looks really good. They will not be an easy out for anybody.

Always love it when a non-Cartel team takes out a Cartel team. Not to mention it disrupts the work of obvious nepotism hire Dan Gavitt.
Another quick tournament for my Cats.

Nate Oats has passed the Hurleys on the coaching totem pole as of now.

If they win a couple more games, he could have his pick of available P5 jobs. Maybe even if they don't.

If Boeheim were to quit after this season, which I know isn't likely, I could see Oats at Syracuse.

Oops, this post belongs in the coaching carousel thread.

I’m watching these blowout games and remembering how much fun it was to watch Eric and Will get in that win against Creighton.

Nate Oats almost quit coaching- hard to imagine! I couldn’t be happier for him and his family.

A- 10 last year earned five NCAA units with three teams and Bonnies play in win and URI 1st round win over Oklahoma. Looks like just two this year with dreadful first game performances by both VCU and St Louis. Counting Dayton and Davidson in the NIT, the league had ZERO post season wins. Worst showing in some time.

VCU and St. Louis laid enough bricks to build a subdivision.

Their 3 pt. shooting was pathetic....

Just a bad year for the conference....nowhere to go but up.

VCU while getting to the NCAA in all but one of its seven years as a member of the A-10, has but just two tourney wins in that span (same as URI).

The A10’s poor performance in the post-season matches the regular season’s results. Best to turn the page quickly and hope for better next year.

I’ve been such a big wofford fan the past 34 minutes.

High level game with Kentucky effecting the passing lanes and taking away a ton of initial stuff. Then wofford keeps working, changes the angle and gets the ball where they want it. Impressive stuff from both. I would love to see Uri work this hard next year.

And some people are too dense to look at a situation in a subjective manner.

Objectively YES

Subjectively NO

I think you could say the same thing about the Big East. Underperformed in regular season and that carried into March.

Also fwiw, the A10 final had more viewers (1.28MM vs 1.13MM) than the BE final. Scoring that Sunday afternoon time slot just hours before the selection show is 1 of the biggest coups our commish has pulled off. Massive exposure for the league.

Fletcher McGee CHOKED. Big time.

0 for 12!!!! From three in the biggest game of his life and hes made more threes than anyone ever in NCAA history.

They beat the hell out of Kentucky if he has an average game.

God I HATTTEEE Kentucky.

So wanted wofford to get it done! They're better!

Kentucky is so lucky that McGee had the worst game of his life....

He took so many of those side fade type bombs over two guys. I wonder if he slipped those to the basket a few more times if they don't win and he doesn't end up with better looks over the course of the game from deep.

Oh it definitely did.

They played hard on defense, but McGee always makes tough shots.

The games today have all sucked instead of LSU Maryland.

Still NO upsets.

Murray State FSU was a bust. Fell asleep to that, literally.

There still has not been a single shocker of a game.

I was saying the same thing during the game!

He could have done that and at least kicked it out to the other great shooters on the team.

Murphy and Hoover were really good too.

Really thought they would make a final 4 push.

Unless Minnesota makes a huge comeback, it's all favorites all the time.

Maybe Auburn can beat Kansas. I've got the Tigers winning this game.

I don’t care if McGee is the all time career three point field goal leader. He should have deferred to Hoover, who had the hot hand today. Did Hoover even attempt a shot in the last ten minutes? I don’t remember that he did. I’m sure Kentucky was on him (they did play fantastic defense), but where was the coach? He needed to show leadership by drawing up some plays to free Hoover up. Kentucky was ripe for the taking with Washington out. No way they make the Final Four if he can’t go next weekend.
