You do realize how incredibly difficult it is to average a double-double got the entire season. Turnovers aside this team would be battling it out with Chicago state if we didn’t have him
Yeah no doubt! All I'm saying is
I can see how he could get put down to second team because of the turnovers/sloppy play below guys on teams that finished better with similar numbers and less sloppy play.
I do think he should be first team.
Hes especially been excellent lately. His footwork has gotten a lot better.
Anyways hes about to make the all tournament team :)
Disagree on the Turnovers having kept him off the 1st Team
Look at the comparison between Langevine and Stockard...............and Evans

Turnovers were heavily in CLs favor versus Stockard and equal to Evans
  • Stockard led the A10 in TO's with 66.......CL had 44.......Evans for VCU had 45 so it makes no sense to criticize CL's TOs as compared to these two guys
  • In addition, Russell, Thompson and Dowtin contributed to the worst 3 PG shooting in the A10. Teams began playing zone, daring us to shoot from outside and double and triple teaming CL.
  • CL sometimes scored versus 2 or 3 guys trying to stop him. Defenders would swat at the ball and at his body, yet CL was 8th in the A10 in FG% with 58.1%. The Double/triple teaming led to offensive fouls too as they tried to set up and draw fouls. These led to Offensive Fouls which are also recorded as Turnovers in the Box Scores
Shooting Percentages were in CL's favor especially vs Stockard
  • CL shot 58.1% on FG compared with Stockard who shot a horrible 37.7%. Stockard only shot 27% on 3FG's
  • Evans shot 47.5% on FG and 29.6% on 3FG's
Rebounding was very heavy in CL's favor
  • CL averaged 9.9 Rebounds per game to lead the A10
  • CL was 4.1 rpg more than Stockard and 3.1 rpg more than Toppin
Scoring was even
  • CL with 14.6 ppg for 11th in A10
  • Stockard had 15.2 ppg
  • Evans had 14.9 ppg
Blocked shots were heavy in CL's favor
  • CL had 31 blocks for 4th in the A10
  • Toppin had 14 blocks
  • Stockard had 8 blocks
  • Evans had 4 blocks
Free Throw percentages were not in CL's favor. CL was much more important to URI's success than Stockard was to St Bonaventure or Evans was to VCU. This should fire up the entire URI Team as they go against VCU

I do not see how Stockard or Evans made the 1st team A10 over Cyril Langevine

It made no sense to me that Cyril didn't make First Team and, after reading this, it makes even less sense that Cyril didn't make first-team. Spot on ramster
