This Guido, while he thinks blue's response is classic and hilarious, thinks whoever wrote that racist bullshit wouldn't dare say that shit to my face. If he'd like to try, he can get in touch with me here at keaneyblue.com. I'm tired of being one of the last two demographics in which it is still okay to race hate in the US. Nobody thinks twice about disparaging remarks about Italians and Portuguese. A few years ago I came across an 'legit' article about what's appropriate for Halloween gear now a days, of course they listed about 150 things we're not supposed to dress as and literally gave two examples of appropriate dress, Mario (the donkey konger) and The Fonz, the freaking Fonz, yeah that's right the greasy Italian that's meant to counterbalance the perfect Cunninghams, the guy that represents the whole of the 'other side of the tracks.' Italians literally laid down the foundations of western society. The formula that they developed and used to create and set concrete over 1800 years ago is better than what we use today. There are original Roman aqueducts still bringing clean water down from mountain springs to small villages in Europe. I'm okay with good natured generalizations among friends, not with bashing a whole fan base by abusing one demographic.
To be fair RR, from one piazan to another, I agree (though I would throw the Irish in there as another race that is allowed to be picked on) - but I have a reason why; because we're not pussies. The Italians (and Irish) were treated as bad as other minorities in the US. No jobs, unwelcome everywhere, and all Italians had to rely on was each other. That's why people can make fun of us still because we're not bitches and realize that words don't affect anything. We never needed any handouts and earned everything we got. One of my great grandparents came over by boat at 14 alone after an earthquake killed his parents back home. Let em laugh. We're not pussies.

If you say you’re a Rhody fan, I know you are my brother. For you have suffered as I have suffered.

Do you really think the Projo should send Koch to Dayton for tonight’s game? It’s on espn.
Newspapers across the country are failing miserably and losing money.
Do you think the Boston Globe sends reporters to BC, Northeastern, Harvard, UMASS, etc road games? Never.
The Projo criticism comes up often here but my take......
I like the Providence Journal, delivered it as a kid, back when there was a morning and evening edition
I like Bill Reynolds, especially his Saturday morning column.
I like Bill Koch and Kevin McNamara. Liked all the Projo Sports writers, yes, even jim Donaldson
I knew people who ran machines to print the paper
I think URI gets fair treatment
Lived through Jimmy Walker, Dexter Westbrook, Fran Costello, Marvin Barnes, Ernie D, Kevin Stacum, joe Hassett, and on and on. Providence has tons of fans who did not go to PC but root for the school because of its history. Many have followed the team for all their lives. URI has had success but not to the degree Providence has.
Back in the day PC was on local TV a lot, Chris Clark was the broadcaster. URI was not on local TV
I do not like PC - surprise, surprise, but in no way does URI have close to the number of fans PC has. I’d guess we have 25 percent of the fan base. I’m not talking physical bodies in seats but fan base itself.
So I don’t expect equal treatment to PC or equal write ups or coverage. We just are not equal in popularity.
And Bill Koch does not make the decision as to whether he goes to Dayton or not. I’m just thrilled it’s on TV.
And if URI Basketball does not improve soon and turn this programs downhill slope to uphill again the coverage of the Projo will decrease along with it.
The key to Fatts’ strong play here is a team first mentality. He is obviously a scorer by nature but his size makes it easy to defend his finish at the rim.
As he continues to rely on pass-first basketball and change of pace with the ball in hand, this offense will continue to produce.
Cyril Langevine is 1st Team A10. The spin move he made early in the game was magic.
Love the announcer comparing him to Dennis Rodman and the comment that Langevine thinks he can get every rebound.
What a great player.
If it is, I’ll happily eat every negative word I’ve written about him this year and let him junk punch me while we go and butt bang the rest of the A10.

It really is nice to see him playing well against a team he struggled mightily against last time.

I'm starting to appreciate you as a fan. Differences aside?
