Ok so are we back to the part where cox ignores what he got us playing better in making lineup changes?

The same guys have been out there costing us this game so far.

Literally Jeff and Martin are the only ones who came to play today. Why we haven’t seen silverio or Preston in to spell the others remains a mystery.

How we are only down 6 is beyond me. Only good thing of that first half was Martin with 9.

Good news is we can't play any worse in the 2nd half.

Preston has averaged 5 min over the past 3 games and Silverio has averaged 3. I don’t think those guys are a magical answer to our issues today.

A pretty pathetic stretch during the latter part of the first half by Rhody. URI led 18-14 at the 7:51 remaining mark. Umass then went on a 17-0 run to lead by 31-18 with 2:12 left. Three turnovers and 0-6 from the field in that run. Just brutal offense.

Fatts had zero points in the half and CL had as many turnovers (5) as points. Cannot win when they play like that. They really need to get focused in the 2nd half and contribute far more.

UMass is playing this game like they want it much more.

i notice when our bigs hedge, the big on the other team is able to establish position in the low post so that by the time JH or CL get back it's too late. but when other teams hedge on us, we are not able to get the same ball movement and our bigs have not established position. there's got to be a way to fix that. personally i think we (especially JH) hedge too far.

Changes are always an answer when something isn’t working.

Nothing worked in the first half offensively. You’re telling me that either of those guys would be worse than Cyril’s 5 TOs or Fatts 0-everything?

Doesn’t mean I’m saying play those guys 30 minutes - but taking out the guys who are sucking to give them a break and coach them up isn’t a bad thing.

That umass run was painful. But Uri fought back toward the end. Rhody has been responsive to adversity and switching it up the past few weeks. Hope fully they come out of the locker room and get the victory.

2 missed layups and 4 missed three pointers in that stretch, and of course too many TOs. Hopefully they can recover from that stretch and get the lead back.

sometimes i get the feeling that Cyril doesn't realize the players in the white uniforms are on the other team. it's like he thinks they are bowling pins he just has to knock over.
