My thought was that his game looked a lot like Fatts’ on the bad night. Got to admit though his overall numbers are pretty good.

Problem with social media...it's possible that your thoughts can go from 'impulse' to 'permanent documented publicly visible self-stain' in a matter of seconds. Maybe there should be a mandatory class before people are allowed to use it...like Driver's Ed.

GW picks up a rare win beating Howard at home 70-64 last night. Howard had earlier won at UMass. Colonials are now 3-8 with just two OOC games remaining - @Harvard and vs American.

Middle Tennessee needs a win. Didn’t realize how much of a down year they’re having. Thought that may have been a decent game for us but they’re solidly in rebuild mode with a new coach.

With the coaching change at MTSU, the Blue Raiders lost their three recruits; two went with former Coach Kermit Davis to Ole Miss and the the third went to Georgia. New coach Nick McDevitt was further surprised in June when two veterans were dismissed from team and two others transferred. And then add to that attrition, the graduation of four top players, three of whom were double digit scorers including the C-USA player of the year, you can understand the struggles Middle Tennessee is currently experiencing.

So...why...when I go to watch ODU v Syracuse on ESPN...does it say it's blacked out in my area?
All snide remarks - especially funny ones - are welcome, but I am curious to know the 'real' answer. Thanks!

I think the ACC Network blocks it. They want you to pay for their network and we are in ACC territory because of BC.

Charleston holds on to defeat VCU in Richmond, 83-79.

Oral Roberts which had trailed Richmond big time during most of first half, came back in the last two minutes to beat the Spiders 59-52.

A-10 goes win-less 0-3 today as Davidson falls in Atlantic City to Temple in OT 77-75.

Getting an at large from the A-10 this season will be a tough prospect.

Tough loss Davidson to Temple in OT. Davidson was up by 6 on OT with 1.5 minutes to go.
Impressive was that Davidson played tonight without Grady.

Davidson choked. They had the ball with 22 seconds left and game was tied.
With about 9 seconds left Davidson player throws a no look pass across the top of the key.
You guessed it, Temple player picks it off and walks in for uncontested dunk for the win.
They had 3.2 seconds left. Called a TO. They didn’t even get a shot off.
Temple scored the last 8 points.

The A10 conference is a steaming pile of dog poop this year..... there's no team that we cant beat (or lose to for that matter). I'm just happy that we have a legitimate shot at dancing due to how weak the conference is. I can see any one of 9 teams getting the automatic bid, and we might be a 1 bid league this year.

It also looks like the CAA's top team [C of C] might be the best team in BOTH conferences...

I've been saying for a while, that if there is any change in league affiliation for URI, that would be taking the top programs from the CAA and A10 and merge them into one conference, with no bottom grubbers from either conference invited.

Say the top 8 programs from the A10, which has more depth, and the top 4 from the CAA.....

Watching these end of game situations today it is a weakness in college basketball. Forget the timeout, nothing good comes of it. Georgia calls timeout down one near half court. They turnover the inbounds pass. They get another chance down 2 with 7.9 seconds left. They have their 6’11” Soph center get the in inbound pass and he never gives it up. He drives the length of the court and throws up an airball from 8 feet. He was 2-10 FG for the game. Good coaching.

I don’t see Gonzaga as a Final Four team. You can’t be that weak defensively. Giving up 103 points in college shows a major problem.

This is from the HC.....
Davidson played without 6-5 Kevin Grady, who is averaging 19.4 points. He missed his first game with an undisclosed injury and McKillop says he is day to day.

Some Davidson posters on their message board say it’s his knee - fwiw.

Wrapping up Sunday's scores. In the A-10:

URI bullies West Virginia in the closing minutes to take a decisive win, 83-70.

Duquesne bolts to a 40-16 halftime lead over Maine and coasts from there to a 72-46 win.

Fordham did what UMass couldn't, the Metro Rams successfully defend their home court against Howard to win, 74-67.

Saint Louis lost a heartbreaker to #24 Houston, 68-64. A Houston 3 pointer broke a tie with 29 seconds left in game and the Billikens could not respond.

Tulsa held off Dayton, 72-67.

In games involving URI OOC opponents:

PC coasted to a win over C. Connecticut State, 87-63.

Stony Brook defeated Delaware, 74-68.

TCU never trailed as the Horned Frogs easily defeated Indiana State, 90-70.

When I say there is a chance for 3 bids, I base that on 11 consecutive years of 3 bids or more. Not since 2007 has the A10 received only 2 bids.
My saying 3 bids is possible is only brought up when others are saying the A10 is a 1-bid league this year

My biggest objection to this is that this was said just 2 weeks into the season. It is much too early to designate the A10 as a 1-bid or a 2-bid league. Just like it was much too early to have a Jim Baron 2.0 thread. Let the games be played.

2018 - URI (7), St. Bonaventure (11), Davidson (12) 3
2017 - Dayton (7), VCU (10), URI (11) 3
2016 - Dayton (7), Saint Joseph's (8), VCU (10) 3
2015 - VCU (7), Davidson (10), Dayton (11) 3
2014 - Saint Louis (5), VCU (5), UMASS (6), George Washington (9), Saint Joseph's (10), Dayton (11) 6
2013 - Saint Louis (4), VCU (5), Butler (6), Temple (9), LaSalle (13) 5
2012 - Temple (5), Saint Louis (9), Xavier (10), St. Bonaventure (14) 4
2011 - Xavier (6), Temple (7), Richmond (12) 3
2010 - Temple (5), Xavier (6), Richmond (7) 3
2009 - Xavier (4), Temple (11), Dayton (11) 3
2008 - Xavier (3), Saint Joseph's (11), Temple (12) 3
2007 - Xavier (9), George Washington (11) 2
