The St. Bonaventure game was the 22nd game of the season for Mumford and so his ppg average from this point is official. In other words if X misses any or all of the remaining games his ppg average at the season's end still qualifies. While Munford will be URI's top scorer for the season, his final ppg average is still up for grabs with 4-5 posters still in the hunt for the prize. Since there is a remote possibility of a tie in this contest and since the $25 Mews is too trivial to split, if a tie does happen, two $25 Mews certificates will be awarded.

Through the St. Bonaventure game, Munford's ppg average now stands at 17.50 and Rhodyhoopz is in the lead.

Kingston 21.22
ramster 19.60
Billyboy78 19.57
rhodyRams08 18.67
Seawrightspostgame 18.63
rhodylaw 18.21
Rhodyhooopz 17.36 ------------17.5 currently
NY2Rhody 17.31

Now at 17.5. Does that mean that even if X finishes at 18.20 that Hoopz wins? Closest without being under.
Interesting looking back:
Nik - 41
X - 31
Malone - 9
Powell - 1
Bigby 1
Total Entries = 83
Some of us need X to get really hot, a couple of 35 point games...........he is capable
Great contest!!!!!!!!!!!

Closest is the criterion -under or over is irrelevant.

Thought I'd have some fun and do some calculations (these should be all right)

Code: Select all

Billyboy78         	19.57 72-84 pts
rhodyRams08        	18.67 58-71 pts
Seawrightspostgame 	18.63 52-57 pts
rhodylaw              18.21 33-51 pts
Rhodyhooopz        	17.36 20-32 pts
NY2Rhody              17.31 12-19 pts
SDRam              	16.83 5-12 pts
RhodeRule          	16.80 3-5 pts
jcru                  16.70 1-2 pts

Nice work, twisted! It looks like Rhodyhoopz, NY2Rhody, and SDRam have the best shot. As a reference, Munford put in 22 points against UMass in the game at Amherst.

I didn't watch the St. Joe game on the web, but I have to imagine that UMass is watching the tape, and saying to themselves that if they take X out of the game, they hold URI to under 50 points.

X took X out of the game, not St, Joe's. Even the St, Joe's announcer said as much, that X wasn't even looking for his shot.
Very odd game. X with three points and Powell with zero.;

mwhahaha... And it was pretty much the quintessential garbage time layup too. The people behind me in the stands were pissed he didn't pass up to a walk-on, so that one of them could try for a bucket. Maybe Rhodyhoopz really is Munford, and he had some skin in the game :P
