This article says Jared Terrell has made the 16 man opening day roster!

No G league for him yet for he shall dress.

Great news. NBA teams only dress 12 players.
The maximum players on an active roster is 15 and the maximum inactive players is 2. So someone on that 16 man roster will be inactive.

Edit: teams can keep 15 players plus 2 two way players on their active roster.

Terrell and CJ Williams are the two players on the 16 man roster without a guaranteed NBA contract. Two way players are typically on the active roster.

Didn’t show on the box score, so he didn’t dress. Did I get that right?

Correct, AFAIK. He's on an "interesting" team right now with the Wolves, obviously. Thibs is coaching for his job, so he's probably not going to be working in young players - 30(!) minutes on opening night for Rose - but Terrell also seems like the kind of player he would like, plus he's carrying him on the NBA roster, not the G-League one. Terrell's path to playing time probably relies on some of the roster floatsam ahead of him getting trades / injured / released.

All two way players are carried on the NBA roster. Beginning in the 2017 offseason, NBA rosters expanded from 15 to 17 players with the addition of two spots for players under “Two-Way Contracts.”

The Minnesota G League affiliate starts their season Nov 2nd. He most likely will go to Iowa team for Nov 2nd.

NBA Two-Way Contract players will spend the bulk of the season in the NBA G League and not more than 45 days with their NBA team.
Being on the roster but not one of the 13 active players doesn’t count towards the 45 day max.

G League Draft today at 1:00 pm!

Any chance Stan gets drafted? If so, hoping he lands with his hometown, Capital City Go-Go!

Good luck, Stan!

Jared Terrell is seeing his first action in the NBA tonight, playing 6 minutes so far in the first half for the Timberwolves. 0-3 shooting with 2 fouls so far, but who the hell cares about that. Congrats Jared, you've played in the league!

Terrell finishes playing 21 minutes and shot 1-8 with 4 points. He hit a three and free throw. 2 steals and a block as well. In my totally unbiased opinion I think it was the greatest 1-8 in the history of the league.

Yes, hopefully

Covington, Saric, and Bayless are not SGs so we'll see. maybe a call up with some minutes if he continues to have numbers like he did monday night

happy for Jared

Yes, no more than 45 days with the NBA team. If the team decided they needed a two-way more than that, they would have to sign him to a NBA contract and void the two way contract. Very rarely done.

Cant they do a 10 day contract like what was done with Xavier Munford?

Terrell’s pay is complicated.
Can get $50,000 for training camp (probably got this)
Got $78,000 for preseason (Oct16 - Nov 1)
Gets $77,000 protated for days with G League
Gets rookie minimum prorated for days with NBA team (there are 177 days) $4,700 per day
There is a maximum total for the year. I believe it is around $325,000.

I don’t think they can do a 10 day contract with a two way player. They can do 10 day contracts with players that aren’t one of their two way guys.

Italian League is pretty good, but he plays in the 2nd division (Serie A2). For context, Ricky Ledo is the leading scorer in 1st division (Serie A). On Nik's team it looks like Wesley Person Jr is the leading scorer at 18ppg, he starred at Troy and is the son of the more famous Wesley Person who played in the NBA. Nik is a starter. I believe after the Spanish league the Italian league is considered one of the better leagues (along with German, Greek and a few others). I am def no expert on Euro ball though, so potentially others who pay more attention can shed light.

Hes playing against guys who could've/have played division 1 basketball.

If he could put up 34 points against that competition I'm sure he could have helped in more ways than one for us this year.

Looks like with Teague and Rose both out Terrell got the call up to the TWolves last night, but didn’t get in a close win over OKC. Maybe he can get some run vs Bulls or Hawks later this week.

At age 39, and for the first time since his brush with death, Lamar Odom will return to pro ball by playing for the Philippines at the Dubai International Tournament from Feb.1-9. He will then play in the Big3 League:

Hardly recall him. Needed a refresher so I looked him up:

Bigby was a graduate transfer at URI for the season of 2012-13 during Hurley's first year. He used his one year of eligibility after graduation from Northeastern. Was the team's 9th man based on minutes played where he averaged 9.8mpg and 1.3ppg. The murder charge which he was acquitted related to an incident he was involved with in April-2014, almost a year after departing URI.
