Reynolds trots this suggestion out every year in early December. The days of playing one another twice are long gone. I am ok with that as long there is one meeting each season that rotates home and home every other year between Kingston and Providence.
Pretty sure he's been recycling this column since before I was born.

I'm surprised he hasn't been called out for saying more NCAA black players have afros.

I’m with you on almost everything, but as a city I love Providence. Happy to be here today. At my first of roughly a dozen fine Providence drinking establishments I’ll frequent before heading back to Boston.

Important thing to remember about Providence and PC: PC is in the city, but it isn’t of the city. It is of the dumb fail children of rich Catholics from New Jersey and Florida who couldn’t get into Notre Dame, Holy Cross or Fordham.

I like about three things about PVD. The east side, Atwells, and leaving it. Worked there for a few years in the hood. It was glorious. Don’t forget PC also accepts BC rejects, too! I am a recovering Catholic- couldn’t imagine being in that environment again lmao

This is, pound for pound, the dumbest and laziest crowd in sports.

90% of PC fans sit around like it’s a funeral, and the other 10% are just screaming the most laughably stupid things at the top of their lungs. Someone should do a a Borat-style documentary on these losers.

Cyril looks like the only guy who doesn't feel like the game is too big for him so far. Dowtin needs to get it going. Harris looked good to but 2 quick fouls.

Unfortunately Fatts has played thus far today as most of the earlier games. 0-2 from the field and even two straight misses at the ft line.

URI needs to find its mojo or this game will be over early. Down 11.

I disagree. Lid is still on the rim, unfortunately, but he has not played out of control or forced anything. Need something to drop for him.

Had a decent little run before the under 8 timeout, with a couple nice plays from Martin, but then another really tough miss from Fatts followed by an easy Providence lay in.

Their size is an issue right now. I feel like we need to just keep this under 8 or so going into the break and get Harris back out there and make a run in the second half.

I’d like to petition the NCAA to allow them to clone Cyril and/or to give Jermaine as many fouls as he wants. The difference when they are both on the court seems significant.

I also want to give Fatts a hug or something. Rough going for him so far this year.

Yep.

Unless Cyril gets to the point he is physically unable to stay on the floor, he should be out there for the duration. URI is a totally different team when he’s not out there.

Fatts did score 6 points since I threatened to hug him, so I’ve got that going for me.

Horrible shooting continues into this game. URI offense in the first half:

11-27 .407 FG
1-7 .143 3FG
4-9 .444 FT
