No.

Only 3 hold overs from last year...you need as much court time together as possible with the new guys to build chemistry and familiarity.

Especially on defense where you have to work as 1 unit

No offense but can we not have a college crew for our TV games? I like Stone, but the color guy just doesn't have the experience to carry a game.
We are an NCAA program, cmon Rhody.

PS You have to find something to complain about when you win by 35+.

The Greek almost fouled out in less than 2 min. After the first foul Cox was yelling asking him if he wanted to play. Not off to a good start.

Tough to assess much when athletically its such a mismatch.
But our defense in 2nd half showed the intensity and discipline we saw over last couple years. Suffocated them for long stretch of 2nd half when we pulled away. Loved how active CT looked. Preston also showed well. We know what we are going to get from the 3 amigos and all performed as expected.

I thought Omar looked pretty good out there. Very active on defense and didn't make a lot of freshman mistakes.

The north 100 and 200 sections were pretty full all the way into the corners. Most of the students also stayed until the end.

Easy win as expected. I figured around 20, so 34 was good. Tough to make a judgment against this competition, but....Jeff and Fatts are going to be tough to deal with no matter who the opponent is, the next two years are going to be fun watching the two of them together. Oh, and Fatts isn't shy! Christion played so well in every aspect, hitting some threes, rebounding, taking a charge, good defense, a lot of the same stuff Stan gave us. If he can play like that all year, the win total might be higher than expected. Not the greatest game for Cyril, but I'm not worried about him. The 4 frosh all had some good moments. The biggest surprise of the game was Preston. He played really well. We'll see if he can do that against bigger and better competition, but I really liked what I saw from him. Great to see EZ back. As usual, he got the students going early. Poor Aris. I'm not sure what Sutton saw in him, but I don't think he is an A-10 level player. Maybe he can develop. We'll see. Anyway, so happy that Rhody hoops is back. As I told my wife when I got home, I'm back in my happy place, the Ryan Center.

I'm very skeptical on the crowd being over 5,000 tonight. It wasn't a strong turnout by the walk up crowd. Hopefully due to a rainyTuesday night against Bryant. We will need stronger turnouts especially when we host recruits. This team deserves better attendance on a consistent basis.

I thought two players that really stood out tonight were Thompson and Preston. Thompson did a little bit of everything and showed confidence. Preston played hard and looked as good as I have seen him. I didn't expect much from him-maybe we can get a Berry type year. Also Martin missed a few shots, but I loved that he was willing to take them. He showed confidence.

I’m hoping that Preston continues to gain confidence. He played with purpose tonight. Unless there are injuries or foul problems I don’t see him getting more than 10 to 12 min a game though.

I've seen enough from Aris Tsourgiannis. Blake Vedder-type performance out there tonight. Bryant 3rd stringers were manhandling him.
