Has anyone heard if Stan is going to play pro ball somewhere? With the announcement on Dre and Jarvis we are at four players from last year’s team (JT, EC, Dre & Jarvis) playing pro.

Biruta, Reischel, Biggie, Watson, McGlynn, Martin, Iverson, and Akele are all playing professionally overseas. And, Munford seems to still be doing the G League/NBA thing.

I think that’s every player that has come through the past few years, except for TJ who has another pretty decent gig. A program that produces pros is a nice selling point.

According to this article, his name was mentioned, along with a DePaul assistant, as names that may come up during testimony - though no accusations of any wrongdoing on his part as of now.

Preston, as the assistant, will probably end up being the fall guy. Make no mistake about it however, he would not have acted unless instructed to do so by head coach Gregg McDermott. Murp would not have had the access to 100K and could not have offered it without backing and authorization.

There were players we were recruiting back when Preston was here who wanted to get paid.....

...we did not get those recruits....my information was that we wouldn't participate in those scenarios....

...that being said we truly don't know the background when Preston got to Creighton...was there instruction from higher-ups to engage in this type of recruiting or did Preston choose his own path....we hope the Preston we knew wouldn't succumb to that pressure....but we truly don't know anything...

As far as the NCAA and FBI, they knew this information 9 months ago. They didn’t find anything to charge Preston or anything to even investigate Creighton. I believe this week the FBI stated that they didn’t find anything to pursue with the Miami or Creighton basketball staff.

I posted this under the general recruiting thread and one other thread. You are dealing with three sleezy people.
They probably exaggerated the number of schools and the dollar amount to make themselves look good.

On a lighter note. I work in UCONN country and was tasked with tracking down some potential motivational speakers for a company event. Shot off some emails to Thor, Coach Cox, and Kate in the basketball office a month ago. I wrote it off after not getting a response figuring all were too busy getting ready for this season but was pleasantly surprised to get this email today.

Hi,

Unfortunately coach Cox cannot make this event on October 10th. He would've loved it, but due to a scheduling conflict he will not be able to attend. I am sorry for the inconvenience.
