They should give away a replica jersey to any student in the Ruckus who attends every home game.Rhody83 wrote:Oh, I thought it was a jersey for each of the first 1,000 members.ace wrote:I think it’s a t-shirt and a chance to win a jersey.
Wording is a little mislesding. It should say a chance to win a replica jersey.
It says “eligible to receive a replica jersey”.
So they are giving away ONE jersey. Weak

Really incredible from a guy who was billed more as a scorer than a true point. Really looking forward to see what he does this year when he has to take on a little more of the scoring load. I am expecting Jeff to be closer to 15 points per game this year.

Basically averaged one TO a game.....do that this season, and we might be pretty good lol.....

Re: The David Cox Era
Dowtin’s decision-making is just so good. He’s quicker than the defense seems to think, and everything just looks fluid but not rushed. It will be interesting to see if that ratio can be maintained with a less experienced supporting cast. They couldn’t ask for a veteran presence at a better position, though.
Is Jon not aware of the coaching change? He’s less a fanboy and more interested in clicks and faves/retweets, and the combination of conference champs and a player from a great basketball area gets him that.

Not to take away from Dowtin, it will be tough to maintain that low TO ratio. Not only is the team younger but Cox wants to push the pace which will affect passing accuracy.

They can push the pace, but I don't see Jeff making unforced errors. His assists may go down, but his TO's will not.

I saw a post on Instagram where Dana Tate was congratulating Will on getting a scholarship so I think it’s a done deal.

Nicely done presentation by Coach Cox and Thorr and the extra effort to get his mother involved. Great coverage as well for social media...well deserved!

I follow Will on Instagram and he was in the gym the entire summer. Couldn't be happier for him. What a great guy! I can only imagine how proud his mom is of her son.

Re: The David Cox Era
Will has had an interesting basketball journey so far. The story of him and his dad and of him meeting his brother in Sacramento at the tournament was very cool. I’m always so impressed when people make the absolute most of their opportunities. Well-deserved, and I’m glad the roster situation worked out to make the scholarship possible. The team gets to do a good thing, and they still keep roster flexibility.

Re: The David Cox Era
I am not sure of the rules regsrding practice time but teams are currently allowed player development time with the coaches. Does anyone know the rules? Rhody had practice yesterday. Video clip link. New player Aris is in the video. This was yesterday because Fatts had some of this on IG yesterday. I have seen clips this week of other teams.

Re: The David Cox Era
Same rules as summer right now, 4 hours/wk with the coaches and 4 hours/wk with Campbell in the weight room. Most teams will start official practices in 2 weeks at which the time allowed with coaches increases to 20 per week, I believe.Rhody83 wrote: ↑5 years ago I am not sure of the rules regsrding practice time but teams are currently allowed player development time with the coaches. Re: The David Cox Era
Thanks for the explanation on current practice limits. Official practice (20 hours/week) starts 45 days before the first game. I believe that is Sept 24th.
So they are probably doing 2 hours each practice on two days this week so the coaches can be on the road visiting recruits.

Re: The David Cox Era
My thought watching the practice video is that there is going to be competition for playing time this year. That is going to be a good thing. Players will improve from the competitiveness of practice.

Man, I bet Dowtin and Fatts against each other must be something to see in practice. Glad they are both on our team!

I saw this a few days ago, going south in Warwick near the malls. A real "eye-catcher."
I almost followed it to see what rock star got off it.
I would have designed it differently inside, however. Maybe a few bedrooms, lounges, gym and even.a.small swimming.pool. But, that's just.me.
