Kids love getting attention on twitter. If they didn't, they wouldn't be retweeting everything about themselves.

"Walker would get some great playing time while being on a likely tournament team. Rhode Island may be a mid-major program in the A-10 but it may be the best situation for Walker at the end of the day."

Just an FYI, this article is a piece of crap.theblueram wrote: ↑5 years ago "Walker would get some great playing time while being on a likely tournament team. Rhode Island may be a mid-major program in the A-10 but it may be the best situation for Walker at the end of the day."

He makes a point based on Kansas having made an offer. The problem is Kansas has not made an offer.
He talks about Maryland and misses that they just signed Ricky Lindo who plays the same position as Walker.
He states that 4 stars in the 30-130 range all go to P5 schools - we know that is wrong.
He leads off with schools that Walker excluded from his OV list and states they have a chance getting Walker.
Here is the bio of the author of the article.

Whatever. It's a story that shows up on top if you google NCAA Basketball. It's a headline on a 4* recruit, with the splash picture of Terrell, Dowtin and Fatts. Good publicity.

He didn’t commit so that’s the first good sign. Let’s get him through the Pitt visit and on campus with Bishop and we have a shot.

Can't second guess whole staff being there on day one of home visits

Well we know our staff is not lacking in the effort department. I’m very confident in coach Cox and staff.

Nothing says it better to these two than visiting them on Day 1. This pic says it all.

Nice to see Bishop wearing a Rhody shirt. I'm trying to figure out what Walker has on. I can't quite make out the logo. Anybody have better eyes than I do?

My guess is it looks like his High School gear....Like his smile in the picture (good sign?).Billyboy78 wrote: ↑5 years ago Nice to see Bishop wearing a Rhody shirt. I'm trying to figure out what Walker has on. I can't quite make out the logo. Anybody have better eyes than I do?

BC Head Coach met with his mother in MD today and they aren’t even getting a visit. Good use of HC’s time. Don’t they have any recruits that are scheduled for official visits.

Guessing Coach Sutton will be there today or tomorrow. They are going to show Walker how important he is and how much they care.

Jason Smith does a great job of promoting his guys and his program. Wonder if he has any college coaching aspirations?

Re: ‘19 MD F Anthony Walker (Offer)
It wouldn't shock me, but Brewster, Oak Hill, Montverde, IMG, etc probably pay very well and with the recruits they're able to bring in every year, there's a lot of job security there for their current coaches that they simply wouldn't have at the college level.

Walker and Bishop swap spots in the new Rivals rankings.
Walker is 77 up from 89, and Bishop is now 90, down from 78.

I hope we are still heavily involved with Walker, but I feel like the seemingly increased attention to Mading is indicative that we have an inkling we are out on Walker. I am interested to see what kind of presence we have at the open gym.

Re: ‘19 MD F Anthony Walker (Offer)
Every staff in the country recruits 10+ kids for 2-4 positions, we have it narrowed down to really 5-6 targets with a clear tier breakdown. Wouldn’t read too much info staff spending time with Madding as a shot against Walker. The first morning of the contact period they were with walker four coaches deep. That tells you all you need to know on where they think they stand with Walker.

Re: ‘19 MD F Anthony Walker (Offer)
I was thinking there may have been something in the meeting with Walker that is sending the staff in a different direction.

Re: ‘19 MD F Anthony Walker (Offer)
There is nothing sending them in a different direction. That visit to Mading had been pre-planned before it all. Walker was their first visit, before anyone else could even get there!

Re: ‘19 MD F Anthony Walker (Offer)
Rhody staff feels that Bishop and Walker together with what is in place will take the program to the next level. And make it sustainable. I have that firsthand. They aren’t going to lose focus on Walker or Bishop until they both make their decision.
Let’s review the Walker recruiting process:
Rhody and Pitt are the only schools left that he did an unofficial visit to.
A Rhody coach was at every AAU game he played in July (estimate 12 games in three cities).
Rhody is 1 of 5 schools he has scheduled for an official visit.
He has said on several occasions that Rhody is recruiting him the hardest
He went to Illinios a week ago and hasn’t made a verbal to them.
All four coaches showed up at his school the morning on the first day of the recruiting period.
He will be visiting in 1 1/2 weeks with Bishop.
I would expect that Coach Sutton and probably Coach Cox will be at Brewster tomorrow.
These coaches know how to recruit. Coach Cox knows the approach needed by URI to compete and win the recruiting battle against P5 schools. #trusttheprocess

Believe they have back to back days of open gyms and we are there for tomorrow’s. Just what I heard though and could be wrong.

Re: ‘19 MD F Anthony Walker (Offer)
They’re doing it today and tomorrow, and Rhody83 said he expects we will be there tomorrow. If Pitt is there today, maybe we’d rather get the last word.

Re: ‘19 MD F Anthony Walker (Offer)
Interesting that Rhody’s entire coaching staff meets with Walker one-on-one Sunday. Pitts shows up for open gym along with a crowd of coaches standing on the sidelines watching open practice. Advantage Rhody.

Illinios PF target cuts his list to three schools. Sets last visit to be Illinios on Sept 21st. Decision shortly after. Coach writes him a handwritten three page letter.

Does anyone know if he coaches made it out to Brewster yesterday? If they bailed obviously
not a good sign for our chances of landing Walker!!

They had on campus obligations. The staff is in daily comms with Walker. Remember, we were his first in home visit. The staff is leaving no stone unturned.

The two fingers from his coach clearly indicates that Miami is in second place in Walker's recruitment at the moment. ARE WE IN FIRST OR THIRD????!!!!?
The Miami assistant appears to be winking. What does it all mean?

YES! I missed the two fingers! I am going to have this photo enhanced further to see what other messages are hidden inside!

I would think Miami was a legit threat if they miss out on the top guys. But they don't really miss too much with the guys they pursue.
