There is a pause button on the live stream. Just pause it for about 5 or 6 seconds and it matches up pretty close. I just kept pausing/playing until it matched up with what Steve and Don were saying. Not ideal, but working beautifully.Roz wrote:how do you synch it? I am not technically savvy

Glad to see we got the A team officials tonight.....
The swarm of guards is looking really good though. Perimeter defense is even more relentless

Great defense! Up 16 at the half, bigger lead than I️ thought they’d have at the half

Yeah no flow to the game at all really. Garbage refs as usual but what else is new. Kind of a sloppy game to, but we've still been able to just overpower these guys. Defense is spectacular.ATPTourFan wrote:Wow that seemed to take forever.

BTW - Marvin Bagley is the real deal! 25/10... sets Duke record for a freshman.
I tried to get him to come to URI (seriously... he's friends with my nephew) but, alas, no luck.

Rough night for other A10 teams
Delaware about to best Richmond by 14 with 30 secs.
Ball state looks like it’s gonba beat Dayton by 1
And Bonnies are down 9 at half vs niagara

Nearly no chances for blocks - Rhody defense denying everything inside. UNCA can’t get ball to the baseline- smothering D

27 turnovers for UNCA, and Stan picking up right where he left off in the tournament. EC, Terrell, Garrett all struggled offensively and we are gonna win by 25 over a solid team. Pretty, pretty good.

Yeah USC wasn't even CLOSE to a sell out. Maybe 5,000-5,500 if I were to guess? Upper levels were sparsely populated. I got seats right behind the USC bench near the mob like 72 hours before the game.adam914 wrote:Steve and Don were second guessing that to. Thought USC was a sell out.

Funny how my memory of that game has changed over the years I guess (and seems like I'm not alone). I just remember rushing the court like a maniac and I guess over the years I convinced myself there were 7000 people behind me.rhodyruckus wrote:Yeah USC wasn't even CLOSE to a sell out. Just getting home.....
Whoever had the scout on this one get a huge A+++++
Teague, Thomas and Vanetta pretty much shut down. Crazy, get after it defense.
Strong opening night. Some sketchy offense performances by some players but everyone got after it on defense.
Berrytime who knew, well played - had a least three addl shots go half way down and rim out.
W
Nice.....and I got me an A10 Champs T shirt!!!
Go Rhody
(And lovin me some picket fence inbounds in case you didn’t know my favorite thing on a basketball court)

We just handled a good team, easily. Stan was best player on floor. Andre is going to be important this year. He makes the easy baskets which is underappreciated. We are going to need another big to step up. But all in all a very good performance. Big crowd.

Ryan Preston is a huge X factor for us this year. And I liked what I saw in his first action. Need him to develop into a 15 minute contributing role player. Only true 4 man we have.

Re: 11/10 | UNC Asheville Bulldogs | 7:30PM (NIT Season Tip-Off)
......Ryan Preston is gonna be a key player whose PT will be earned and increase, the guard play seemed tonite to be seemless in all combinations, Akele will get untracked, doubt there will be a 5 minute PT with 5 fouls, he will have some big nites, another key player that has to contribute, the Juice is loose, Layssard and Tertsea are just not goona contribute much, like Fatts motor......on to Reno....fun nite.....loved the crowd size, hope that keeps up....

Doesn't get much uglier than Akele's line

Re: 11/10 | UNC Asheville Bulldogs | 7:30PM (NIT Season Tip-Off)
A few takeaways from the game..
Stan - Defense is ridiculous. Picked up right from last year and looking very comfortable. What a nightmare for opponents he is
Andre - Biggest man on the floor and took advantage of it. Great offensive touch but I think defensively he is still going to have issues
Akele - where the hell was he all night..a little concerning he wasn't a least a small contributor
EC, JT, Jarvis - Relatively speaking a slow starting game for them, but we know what they are and can do.
Preston - Has a lot of upside and think his role will grow throughout the year
My biggest takeaway was Fatt's. Had some stupid freshman fouls (albeit one or two were pretty cheap) but we saw glimpses of what he can be. He is going to have an important role all year and is going to be a hell of a player for us. Excited to watch him some more

Looks like Stan tied the record assuming this is correct.Billyboy78 wrote:Does anybody know what the individual record is for steals in a game by a URI player?

Actually just looking at that it’s not too recent but assuming no one in the last 10 years had more than 7 then Stan is tied for the most.

Re: 11/10 | UNC Asheville Bulldogs | 7:30PM (NIT Season Tip-Off)
Fatts had maybe the best past i've seen a Rhody player make in my days as a Rhody fanatic.
Where he had a bounce pass that traveled about 23 feet from the op of the key, land perfectly in (can't remember who) hands for the assist. Then he took the ball the length of the court and got a layup.
Fatts is GOOD
Dowtin played a very efficient game, looking to score more than last year. Looked more confident when trying to score.
Good thing Stan wasn't suspended for this game....lawd he was good. His defense was UNREAL, he had his paws on like everything.
Berry is the real deal. Step back jumpers all day baby!
Very encouraging start seeing as EC JT and JG played poorly offensively. We got depth!
Bring on Nevada! GO RHODYYYYYYY
UNDEFEATED

Stan was definitely the best player on the court tonight. Could this be his breakout year?
18 points on 7-9 FG,2-2 3FG and SEVEN steals. He also drew at least 3 offensive fouls.
