Then our job of sending healing thoughts isn't done yet, lets get it on Rhody faithful!!!
Our job is to think about Rod in good health, home with Arthur. If everyone that reads this does so multiple times a day Rod will be home, happy and healthy in no time.

Another update from Andrea...they have to redo the surgery tomorrow since the ileac artery has ballooned above the stent that was put in previously...probably causing the high BP that Rod has been suffering from.....

Very concerned......prayers for Rod are needed.

Okay, so here's the deal, I know I waxed on about how nice it is to have a feeling of friendship even kinship with someone I've actually never met in person, but I never actually thought we wouldn't get a chance to hang someday, so if you wouldn't mind Rod, be strong for me, get well and have a speedy recovery so I don't have to put not meeting on my list of major regrets!

i have been following rhody hoops sine the projo message board days

always respected rod's views and being a true fan

i got the chance to meet him last year at a game and we talked during halftime for awhile

I will say, as someone who know's Rod personally, his in person persona is quite different from the one he puts online. He's a warm, funny, and enjoyable person to watch the game with.

Granted I love his hard line takes because it makes the board interesting - and everything he says is steeped in more forgotten knowledge about URI basketball than I will ever know.

Praying for a good day today and a better healing! Go Rod!

I used to be a regular a long time ago going back to the Projo days, but I have not been a poster in several years. I reset my password and wanted to log back in just to wish Rod well in his recovery and thank everyone on here for being a great board of great people.

I was lucky enough to work with Rod for a couple of years when Rhody was a national name. He is a really good guy. I am happy to call him a friend.

He is also tough as nails and I know he will pull through on this. No doubt when the doctor started the operation he was confused by

Rod's blood being the color of Keaney Blue.

Another Rod update...the 2nd surgery went well...they replaced the stent that had slipped and put in another one in his renal artery.....

Will have to continue to monitor his BP so he'll remain in the hospital for an indefinite period.

Hopefully no more complications.....

Yes, good news indeed. Thanks for the updates to all those who have given those. Again, very best wishes to a full and speedy recovery. Can't wait to see the next post from "Rod from Cranston". Always enjoyed his posts, whether I agreed or not, but hopefully the next one will be his best of all.

That's great news. Thank you Blue Man for update as well as all others that have updated us on his condition. Though I have never met Rod personally, I feel as if I know him well through a URI basketball connection. As I have said in the past, I recall Rod being basically the only voice of the Rams, at least on radio talk shows as far back as the late 70s and 80s. So it is indeed great news and indeed the only positive thread or issue that we can all get together and agree on......the improvement and well being of a URI faithful.

Forgot to mention this the other day but during the GAME WHICH MUST NOT BE NAMED on Thursday, the guys covering the game on WRIU shouted out Rod and wished him a speedy recovery. The legend spreads.
