GW - first four out

ESPN:

St Joe's - 8
VCU - 10
Bonnies - first four out
GW - next four out

USA Today:
2/29
Dayton - 8
St Joe's - 8
VCU - first four out
Bonnies - first four out
GW - others in consideration

SB Nation:

Unless SBU or GW completely collapse, anything under 4 bids is an insult to the league. Less than 3 like USA today have is a travesty.

Two sites have updated bracketology after Bonnies victory over St Joes and VCU beating Davidson.

Bold is new entry

CBS:
3/2
Dayton - 6
St Joe's - 8
Bonnies - 10 - last 4 in
VCU - 11 (but not last 4 in?)
GW - first four out

USA Today:
3/3
Dayton - 8
St Joe's - 8
VCU - 11
Bonnies - 11 - last four in

GW - others in consideration

Dayton and St. Joes are now locks.

VCU and St. Bonaventure are really, really close.

I think if VCU beats Dayton Saturday they are in.

GW probably has to at least make the final in NY to get in.

Otherwise, hello NIT. Davidson is probably an NIT team.

We are the only other A10 team with a shot at the NIT.

According to Twisted on the A10 board, if the season ended today we would play Duquesne on Thursday and St. Bonaventure on Friday.

Playing Duquesne could be tricky, but if we were to win that game, playing the Bonnies next would be our best chance to advance to the semis imo.......

Then we would most likely get St. Joes on Saturday. But that's getting way ahead of ourselves.

We're locked into Thursday night now, since Rhody will be either 6th or 7th.

Duq has the inside track to the 10 seed with tiebreakers but umass has the easiest opponent.it could be SLU, Duq or Umass. SLU plays the bonnies, Duq plays st Joe's and umass plays la salle.

So, to get the 6 seed (and the much-preferred 9pm start)...Rhody needs to beat Fordham and Davidson needs to lose at home to GW? Nothing more to it than that, is there?

Why is the 9pm start much preferred? I'd almost rather have their first game be the earlier one, allow for slightly more rest before the game the next day if they win.

Purely selfish reasons...I like 9 so as to provide plenty of time to drive down, get there and situated. Pretty sure the game the 2nd day wb same as first day...it's the third day where I guess there's a couple hour difference.

Not a good day for the potential A-10 tourney teams.

GW loss puts them in a spot where they probably have to win the A-10 tourney.

St. Joes loss to Duquesne puts pressure on them to win their first game in Brooklyn. Never want to be an A-10 school going into selection Sunday with a 3 game losing streak. Give the committee ammunition to replace you for a Big 10 school.

Wichita State's loss knocks a bubble team out assuming they get an at large (their KenPom ranking was top 10 going into today.)

We get #10 UMass.
Great news.
How the heck did they finish ahead of ANYBODY?
They're just about the worst team I've ever seen.
They can't score, at all.
