Most painful loss this year. Totally on the players. Couldn't make winning plays the last 28 minutes of the game. Fucking awful.

Why is it that every game when we're ahead we stop moving the ball? Ball movement was terrible AGAIN. Jarvis just dribbles the clock out over and over again. The one good shot we got was Terrell's missed 3, in which we moved the ball around. Not a coincidence. It's like we just forget how to pass and freeze up.

Here is a team that continues to force difficult inside shots rather than take a good shot as soon as one appears from the outside. The percentages are against us. DH is clueless about offensive basketball and the defense isn't that hot either. Does he teach them how to play defense without fouling? The talent on this team should yield better results. I disagree that this is "entirely" on the players - they need to be put is a position to be successful.

Sickening. Absolutely sickening. This is unfathomable how it is the SAME result every f*cking time in a close game. The offense was anemic after 12 minutes into the game. Officiating certainly didn't help, but I'm not going to sit here and blame it on that. It was like we forgot how to do anything on offense after those 12 minutes. I am f*cking disgusted right now.

Not even an 18 point lead can get us a win!!!! There is no reason we should choke as much as we do this year! We didn't choke like this last year, but every single road game except Brown we've just made shitty plays! how in the fuck can we continue to do this??
We are going to go 9-9 in the A-10

Agree. Time for that upside... a couple weeks ago, I think GW would've blown them off the court. URI is better than they were a few weeks ago and I think if they keep getting better, still a chance for great things in the tournament.

Seemed like..KI made an outside shot or two, then just stopped shooting it (til he made the 3 late). Looked like there were quite a few possessions where he passed up a decent shot, only for someone else's not-as-good shot...

As we all expected, they found a way to lose. And it is of
course by missing 4 of their last 5 fts. We have already seen this
movie before. The rule is never hit any big fts and never hit a big shot
in the final minute. It didn't hurt me that bad because I knew it would
happen. They are as predictable as a third rate thriller.

Wanna see more go to for KI, let him shoot more, give him more freedom with the pill, just try something other than JG dribble drive while the others apparently watch rather than sliding to open space....

The last 6 minutes of the first half we started forcing shots. Only good look the last 5 minutes was the dunk by Iverson. Four shot an ugly off balance 3. Not sure why he insists on taking so many forced or off balance 3's.
We were at our best the first 15 minutes when Martin and Iverson looked great inside. Good crisp passing to the open man.
After the first 15 minutes became more dribbling, less passing, more forced shots, fewer good looks, running the clock down to last few seconds.
Seems that running the clock down results in a lot of dribbling and bad looks at thee basket.
Tough one to lose.

Earl was a non factor again when we needed him badly. Had 2 shots blocked from 1 foot out and played awful defense.
Hassan committed 2 horrendous fouls--he should know better at this stage of his career. It is a complete waste of time to get him the ball down low on the left side of the basket. In the first half he got the on the other side down low and made 2 nice short hook shots. Am I the only one who sees this--what do the FOUR coaches see when they watch film.
I thought the 30 second clock would benefit us with our defense. I acknowledge that the new rules about bumping have hurt us. The 30 second clock has actually hurt us since it takes way too long for us to run a play and way too often we wind up with a very tough shot. Too much dribbling and running a weave. Get the ball to Iverson at the foul line and let him try to make a play.
Thompson getting a T is inexcusable.
Can they run a play to get Four an open shot. What we do reminds me of the futility we saw when the other guy ran plays to get his son an open shot. Try a little penetration with pass out. We actually ran a great play down 3 at the end when Terrell was wide open but missed. Can we try that at other times?
Jarvis plays another great game but misses a crucial one and one at crunch time.
Effin frustrated beyond belief.

We were up 18 and I still knew we would lose. This team has talented guys but we aren't anything but an average team this year. Win at home lose on the road. I'm going to just hope that it's because of EC. That's literally the only thing I can think of that gives me some sort of hope. This puts an end to the ridiculous at large talk on this board. But we can win the a10 tournament!!!! hahaha jk

GW was not very impressive today. They were lucky the refs gift wrapped the game for them. After watching them today, I can now understand how they lost to both Depaul and St Louis. They are just not all that good in some games.

What we saw today in a loss in terms of approach is no different than is games that we win. I've been critical in both cases. The approach doesn't showcase what is the best of our offense capability. Sometimes it is good enough against inferior opponents in therms of talent.

9-9 in A-10 play is looking very realistic. Probably lose one somewhere along the way at home and make that up with an unexpected road win. 9-9 in conference would mean 17-14 overall and probably just outside the NIT bubble heading to Brooklyn.

I agree the refs gave the game to GW. Not only the disparity of points at the line but it effects our personnel and how aggressive they defend. I am not defending missed ft's and such, but without the massive difference in FT's we win this game.
