Yeah LaSalle blew that chucking up 3's with the lead. Horrible finish for them.

Wow... was following the gamecast for Davidson/La Salle. Looks like La Salle was scoreless in the last 4:45 of this one, and had a 10 point lead at about that mark.

Incredible.

Wright never took a shot in the last quarter of the game.
I'm going to puke.
I HATE Davidson.
Kolonoskopy did the same kind of 3 point basket-foul shot that
he did against us.

The refs did bail them out a couple times leading up to that point though. I hope we get the same respect as the better seed.

Choke job by LaSalle. Explorers went up by 10 (64-54) with 6:34 left. Outscored the rest of the way 11-2 with the Wildcats hitting three 3-pt shots. LaSalle for some reason attempted and then missed four 3pt shots in that span.

I love Giannini yelling at the refs, "You're protecting the one seed!"
As a paisano, I love his passion.
Yeah, I don't get all the 3 tries by Lasalle, when Lasalle killed
them inside all day.

At least Davidson was tested and had to work hard for the win. That should take some air out of their sails.

I am happy that Davidson won. It'll only help URI's RPI if they do lose to them in the finals.

You're kidding, right?
RPI means nothing right now. That ship has sailed after the
Davidson game.
We win it all or we go to the NIT.

I'm trying to be optimistic. A lot of teams are losing early in their conference tournaments. Illinois, Miami, Mississippi, Texas, Texas A&M, Oklahoma State, Stanford, Old Dominion. Somebody has to get in. I don't think it's impossible (I know I said I did earlier this week) if URI gets to the finals, loses and still gets in.

Personally, I'd love for URI to have the chance to face Davidson again. I'd live with the loss during the regular season if we beat them in the finals :-)

Did anyone else notice that as Davidson's final shot was going through the basket a Davidson player swiped at the net and had his hand in the net before the ball dropped through? That actually should have been called basket interference and the basket should have been disallowed by rule. and it doesn't matter if it iis intentional or accidental. and with the ball sitting on the rim, the swipe of the net could have affected the action of the ball. I was surprised that the announcers didn't even mention it. The officials really helped out Davidson the last few minutes. I don't believe Davidson had clear possession when they were given the timeout after the Gibbs missed free throw. That extra possession saved Davidson and was very costly for Lasalle.

Luke is 100% correct, but those refs weren't making
that call, after they helped Davidson win.
The phantom jump ball was a killer.
I like the color guy. Too bad we get the team that does little
to no research, lead by Ben Howland.
We'll hear tons of EC Matthews NBA stuff and not much else.

If I weren't a URI fan I dunno if I'd be an A-10 fan. Generally, offensively challenged…..Then again, I have a tough time watching even "the elite schools," because they are generally excruciating to watch.

Ben Howland was a very good coach, for N. Arizona, Pitt, and UCLA.
He's been to ten NCAAs and two NITs
Two Sweet 16s Three Final Fours including a
Championship game.
Seven seasons over 25 wins. Three 30 win seasons.
Oh, and TWENTY TWO NBA players.
399 wins and a 68.7% winning percentage.
One HELL of a coach!

He's have to go back into the lockerrom bathroom to do that.

Richmond shot freaking 57% and still managed to lose!

Anthony had a tough last couple of minutes though, with the miss on the front end of the 1 and 1 and the slip on the drive to the basket. But I think he's a very good player.

Two Richmond players slipped on that end of the floor in the closing minutes of play......this concerns me for tonight....

....I know Rod doesn't really care about the other teams in the A-10 but Richmond needed to win to try to get that extra bid to the NCAA's....

No fouls on that last possession. The Brown Indian got all the way to the basket and lost the ball all by himself.
