He danced pretty well. Though I could live without these contests during timeouts. Let the game be the event.

I don't know, but the Keaney blue leisure suit guy needs to be elected to the student fan hall of fame for his attire alone. Also, the guy who leads the bleacher stomping does a good job. I'm the one who's usually stomping. Spoke to Ryan Center staff there totally cool with it. And we are we going to try to get students to get there along with being loud. If you guys have any ideas for some chants other than the usual Minutemen and No Class UMass chants it would be great. I would love to get the students to say more than just Let's Go Rhody and the URI chant. Just getting no help from anyone else.

Gazakaza - it would be great to hear the "I Believe" chant from the Nebraska game at the beginning of each home game right before tip... check out this youtube video.

Back to my thought that I hate UMass more than I hate PC. I really, really HATE losing to these guys. I'm sure that's multiplied 10x for Dan and co.

Based on what we saw against SLU - it seems like the team figured out that they need to put teams away. I think the St. Joes game is paying dividends, and we're going to see a much more focused team that won't let up the rest of the way.

I don't get the younger set at all.
Glued to their phones, to the exclusion of all else.
At my granddaughter's school, there's a drop off zone.
One morning, there was a jam up and everyone was going
around a car parked in the zone, and since it's a narrow street,
into oncoming traffic
When I got to the spot, I saw who was blocking the spot for dropping off children.
It was some asshole woman sitting there, TEXTING!
Totally oblivious to the problem she was causing.
These devices have isolated people, and made them the center of their own
little cyber world.
Selfies? That says it all.
I went to a PC game a few years ago with a couple of guys from work.
The youngest guy spent his entire time there, texting.
Why spend money and go anywhere, if that's all you want to do.
Thus endeth the Rodney Rant of The Day.

When I go to games by myself, I sometimes go sit in open areas up in the 300s to spread out and get kind of a different perspective on the game seeing it from above. Saturday I sat a couple rows behind a group of four boys that I would guess are seniors in high school. They watched the whole game, and talked good hoop. Must have been high school players.

I admit that I'm on my phone, but I limit it to timeouts and halftime, usually to check twitter comments about the game from Bill Koch and others. I know it sounds silly, but I'm still waiting for the scoreboard operators to get something other than the lineup and ads up. Tweets usually keep me informed on stats and perspective from the floor. The couple in their 40s to my right do the same, but they cheer, clap and yell, too.

How does that make any sense? It's a big enough game they can jack up ticket prices, but not big enough that they be bothered to accommodate boosters?

They usually close the Alumni Room for a special occasion like when they recognize the scholar athletes who made the honor roll.

Rod. It's not just games. Any public event. Movie theaters are intolerable. Broadway actors say they can hear conversations. Went to see "American Sniper." During a climactic scene ... a guy checked his messages via speakerphone!
When I go to the game my phone is off. I don't need tweets or a deejay or contests or T-shirts.
Just give me a good basketball game.

I was in a restaurant, when some jabroni was having
a conversation on one of those two way phones with the loud'beep
in between the back and forth.
I had the waitress move us.
A friend of mine was saying even at Mass, some idiots with the phones,
but the priest shamed one guy by telling him to leave.
I rarely go to movies anymore. When I do, I sit in the back row, and
go at times when it's less crowded.
Some people are rude, clueless, inconsiderate, jerks.
Their inability to be without these phones, even for an hour, is sick.

I completely agree and I will add, they think I'm the one who is sick because I'm not glued to my phone. I think my friends and boss believe I'm avoiding calls at times or they really just don't get that I can go several to many hours without even knowing where my phone is. Then there are those in my life who won't even believe I can't receive calls during work at certain times. I remember a time when I worked a whole shift without contact from non-work associates.

I think we're going to try to keep the suck out of our wedding. What Jerry D and CPK (still going with that) did to this program is unconscionable - can't have that stench anywhere near our day.

Granted if the Kardashian's came to our wedding it would be more likely that an "accident" would befall one of them, so there's that.
